Easy to swallow
I have been taking these for years now to help control my blood sugar. Of course diet and exercise are the key, but I think they work well enough to keep taking them. They are easy to swallow and the price is right.

Ceylon cinnamon may be good for the liver, BUT....
Cassia is the only one proven to aid in sugar digestion/insulin resistance, at least from the studies that I have read about. Cassia is the most common form of cinnamon, therefore, it is what is used in studies. I haven't read of any proof that Ceylon works for this; it is inconclusive as it has been used in so few studies, which came out inconclusive.Though, I ordered this a few months ago, and use it alongside my cassia cinnamon as I worry about liver probs. Since I've never used it alone, I can't say whether it works. I know since I started taking cassia in Feb., my cholesterol levels are down. I've been alternating the two types for a few mons. 1000-1200mg total a day, and I'm not sure if the results are the same as I haven't been tested on cholestoral since March.I have PCOS with insulin resistance though I'm not diabetic. Some of my PCOS symptoms have improved, esp. since lately I upped the dose to 1600mg daily. My mood swings and face breakouts have improved, though I don't think I'm ovulating on it. I have to take progesterone cream to get a period, though I'm hopeful with this larger dose of cinnamon that I may ovulate and get periods on my own. I'm not using the prog. cream this month to see what happens. I'm also going to ease of the cassia cinnamon and just use this product (the NOW ceylon) - 3 pills a day (1800 mg) to see if it works as well alone. Since I'm not diabetic, I worry about my blood sugar getting too low, but I've been told that can't happen either with supplements or metformin (which I used to use, but hated the side effects). It is just supposed to strengthen my insulin's ability to work and inhibit ovulation. I also feel less sluggish during the day since taking cinnamon - it does kind of give you a boost.

Good value and good quality
I recently started taking cinnamon powder for some of its health benefits, and I tried both ground cinnamon and the NOW cinnamon capsules. By far, this is more convenient--take a couple of pills a day, and you don't have to worry about mixing cinnamon in with other things to make it palatable. The capsules come apart easily in case you do want to use it like loose cinnamon. It's a good value, too. Each 120 capsule bottle contains a total of 72 grams of cinnamon, about 2.5 ounces. To buy a bottle of an ounce and a half of loose ground ceylon cinnamon from wholespice actually costs more, once you factor in shipping. All in all, good value, good product, and the cinnamon itself is very tasty. (Jury is still out on the purported health benefits).

Lowered my blood pressure!
My blood pressure had been boarding on being high (130/90)and I was recentlly told that I had high cholesterol. My cholesterol levels aren't high enough for medicine, but high enouh for concern. I had read that cinnamon helped lower blood pressure and cholesterol, and decided it can't hurt to take cinnamon, and it would be better than having to be on meds! After 1 month of taking cinnamon bark my blood pressure has dropped to 118/78 (I get my bood pressure taken every week). I don't know yet if there is any impact to my cholesterol levels, but I will continue to take cinnamon bark! I also want to mention that I have read that you must use ceylon cinnamon, because other cinnamon in large quantities can be toxic.

Blood sugar assist
I read on the internet that cinnamon could assist with blood sugar control but I have not noticed any appreciable change in my blood sugar over 5+years. I used to take 2 tablets a day but dropped to one a day for that reason. I have no recommendation.
