ergonomically designed and sturdy case (but cannot charge or connect with Apple Pencil)
19 July 2020Due to IOS 13 update, my Apple Pencil cannot Charge or connect by Bluetooth. I physically need to reveal the magnetic side of my iPad Pro 11inch 2018, and and ensure the pencil is in direct contact the magnet. So after IOS update, the case has become a magnet pencil holder only and not a charger.26 September 2019My review of the âTargus Pro-Tek Rotating Caseâ for my Apple iPad Pro 11 inch and for my Apple Pencil 2nd Generation.I spent almost a year looking for a case that to me is the perfect case for my âApple iPad Pro 11â and âApple Pencil 2nd Generationâ. So far this case comes very very very close to a perfect case. Itâs features looks as good as it functions. The colour available is black (or dark grey, one of my favourite colour). I hope future designs will be as good as this and better for the next version of Apple iPad Tablets.Design, Material and weight âvery durableâI like the size and compact design of the case. I really like these kind of material too with large grooves to allow my finger to hold on the case and to prevent slipping. I like itâs sturdy design and strong solid weight. Honestly, it feels heavy. For me however, I would accept a little sacrifice on weight to ensure the safety of the iPad.Also, the iPad fits in the tray securely. Iâm so great full for the design & strength of the case protecting my iPad from an accident. I dropped the case with my iPad in it from chair height and fell on one of the corners to a carpet/timber floor. It bounced at least once; I think. I checked the corner of the case, not a scratch. I picked up the iPad and the magnetic strap remained intact, the cover still closed and my iPad didnât fall out. So great full for that too. I lifted the cover and the iPad waked immediately. The corners, edges, glass screen is fine. No sign of damage to my iPad at all! The iPad fitted perfectly to the tray. Itâs still in the same position as it was when I first slide it in. It didnât pop out not one bit.The case & cover feels strong and it prevents my iPad from being bent/crushed/scratched/dented by all the stuff inside my bag such as my keys, water bottle, lunch box containers, umbrella handles etc.Rotating tray âso convenient!âI really like the rotating tray, portrait to landscape. Itâs great because I donât have to let go of the case to show anyone the screen. I can just rotate the tray to any degree I want to show others the screen. The frame/tray protects the iPadâs four edges and four corners perfectly. The corners is made of strong rubber or plastic.Buttons hole âvery precise!âFinding the power button, volume buttons is even easier. Perfectly cut holes.USB-C cable hole âvery precise!âI like how the USB-C cable can be plugged in perfectly. The hole for the cable is cut precisely. Never had a problem plugging the USB cable in. The cable didnât pop out like order cases. Made easier to find the USB slot actually.Audio/Camera hole âvery precise!âAgain precise size holes on the tray. Sound and vision is uninterrupted.Cover âvery clever design!âI like the covers sturdy design and works perfectly with iPad Sleep/Wake function. I like numerous ways to stand, lay and hold the iPad.Apple Pencil holder âperfect fit!âI like the perfect location and fit for the Pencil. It connects and charges perfectly each time. The Pencil stays attached always, as in it does not fall off unless you open the strap and remove the pencil yourself. There is also another pencil holder on the base of the case which made of elastic fabric. The best ergonomically designed and sturdy case I have seen so far!

The perfect purchase
I've gone through quite a few iPad covers over the years and thought I'd found the perfect one in the Belkin cover I bought a while ago and was still using until yesterday, when I received this Targus cover. It feels sturdy and of a high quality, the strapping feels good, it doesn't feel bulky and it makes you feel that your iPad is safe.

Targus vs Otterbox Symmetry for iPad 11 Pro: my personal experience
I bought Targus and Otterbox Symmetry as I was undecided by looking at them online as to which one will be bets for me. I found that the Targus is robustly made and provides 360° protection. The corners have additional âbumpersâ to protect the iPad from any fall. I havenât tried dropping it to check, but it certainly looks reassuring in the event that I did drop it. Targus is flexible in that it gives you the option to work on your desk in either landscape or portrait mode. The flexibility to rotate the iPad from landscape to portrait (actually you can rotate the iPad in Targus 360°) is a huge advantage as many apps only work on portrait. The inner part of the cover is non-slip material (felt rubbery) which ensures that when I place my iPad in typing mode that it will not collapse under even gentle pressure. The pen is protected by the additional magnetic flap so that will not fall off. All in all a great product for the price. I did also buy the Otterbox Symmetry at nearly ÂŁ80 from Apple. I found the Otterbox Symmetry somewhat disappointing for the price. The back is clear plastic that allows you to show off to whoever bothers to look at you when you are using the iPad, which frankly no one does. But when you hold it with your fingers, you will start to see smudges and finger prints. Which will mean that you have to constantly wipe the back. The grey thin cover with pencil cover magnetic flap looked flimsy. There are only two positions - both in landscape mode only. For portrait, you will need to hold it in your hand. So I have kept the Targus and returned the Otterbox Symmetry. So why 4 star? That is because the construction of the Targus makes the whole case somewhat bulkier and inelegant. But who cares as long as I am able to use the iPad in any position and not worry about damage due to accidental falls. I hope you found this review helpful in your decision. Enjoy.

My new favourite case
I was a bit worried about the case being weak or not fitting but turns out itâs super sturdy and fits perfectly on my iPad Pro 2018 10.5. Great quality for the price, Iâm really happy with it. Its internal rubbery surface means it stands easily. Only drawback is the latch sometimes gets in the way of the screen when you have it open in landscape mode. You may have to tuck it open the cover.
