An excellent book, as are all of Bruce Spizers books. You should however beawre that if ordering one from Amazom, that there is a good chance of getting what looks to me like a used book. When I bought my first issue of "The Beatles Are Coming" about seven years ago, it arrived in like new condition, as did all the Spizer Beatle books I bought. This issue I bought about a month ago was not. Both cover edges had dents, small torn piece of paper on top front corner and the face of the cover had surface wear to the point of gloss being lost in a handfull of places. There were lots of fine surface scratches like what you would see on a well used piece of vinyl. I would hope that Amazon is not taking the best of the "buy back books", feeding them back into as new. It's just a hassle to send them back and then wait for another. My rating is for the condition and not the item.CRW in Ohio

I also own another book by Bruce Spizer and this one is equally-terrific. It has a profusion of photos & ephemera, the colors & printing process are really good, and there's a huge amount of interesting & informative written material.

I was so happy to get the books and with the service, I ordered all of them in the series.

This book is exactly what I've been hunting high and low for! It reads somewhat like it was on Pearl Harbor in the months before 12/7. That is, it took everyone by susprise! There were Beatle hints throughout 1963, but very few people thought much of them till November, when the name was starting to be bandied about. Highly recommended!

An amazing book from an American view. As their media tried to block non-American rock bands years later like the mighty Zeppelin, the American music fans like the the of the world were the real judges. You can not suppress musical talent of such a scale however strongly you want to. Not just a Beatles book, but another example of how money making opportunities can make hypocrits of the blind ignorant.

One of the best books I have read on The Beatles invasion of America. It puts a lot of myths to bed. Paul McCartney has often explained how The Beatles weren't going to go to America until they had a number one record, not true I'm afraid, the truth makes a better story, but you'll have to read the book to find that out.

Superb book, a must for any Beatles fan.

a very good book full of information about the beatles storming america, it contains pictures of the actual singles so you can check if you have and original or an reissue, a very inportant book for a record collector
