Best of the Best from Brad Thor
This is a complete work. No unexplained information, no super luck and no unrealistic outcomes. This book is pure genius in just the right amount of detailed coupled with realistic progression of plot. I put it down twice only because I had to pee. At 78, holding it is not an option. Enjoy!

Scot Harvath kicks butt once again
I'll start my review by saying that I'm a Brad Thor fan, and have read all his books. In the past I've liked the Scot Harvath character because he was a no-holds-barred bad-ass, and embodied the balance between honor and vindictiveness that I always envisioned as a microcosm of America in general. That said, I'll move on to give Brad a true complement: In "Foreign Influence," he manages to introduce several characters from previous books (along with their backstories), in a creative and condensed manner. Within the first 23 pages he does all this, along with setting the hooks on no less than five questions the reader absolutely feels the need to know the answers to. This is very difficult to do, and I've even seen writers cut and paste language from previous works to accomplish the task.In "Foreign Influence" there's none of that. Instead, the reader is treated to a rare glimpse into the world of international counterterrorism in a way that few will ever see in real life. Sure it's fiction, but it gives the reader a strong taste of the problems faced when tackling terrorism on the ground, from the impediments laid by foreign powers to internecine turf battles within our own agencies. Even the difficulties of being a sheepdog operating within a sea of sheep leave the reader wondering how it can all happen without spinning totally out of control. The motivations of the bad guys are spot-on, and nobody does anything that is irrational in order to move things forward. This is Brad Thor at his best. I wholeheartedly recommend this book and congratulate him on a job well done.BWKBTW, I think it's a little unfair to poorly rate an author's work due to mistakes made at the publishing house (putting the wrong jacket on a book and then erroneously shipping the product). People use these ratings to decide whether they'll buy the book, and it sucks to have a five star book show up as a four star one. Just my opinion.

Another Winner
Fast moving, exciting with lots of twists and turns. Hard charging thriller with lots of good Intel on terrorist activity. Great summer read for anyone who loves action books.

Scott Harvath is a great action / adventure series...
Brad Thor is the master at taking and making a character into someone you want to know more about. I enjoy the Scott Harvath series even though there is always parts in each book that he repeats the story of the character which I've leaned to scan over along with the Tom Clancy's themed long winded explanations of the detailed description of each firearm each bomb and so on. I get it, it makes more pages and if your a first time reader it's enjoyable the first or second time you read through it. It gets real old when your into the 8th on up book in the series. If you like this series please look into Victor the assassin by Tom Wood, excellent writing and fast paced.

Foreign Influence -- Brad Thor or Women's Devotional Guide to the Bible???
What the heck? I just received my pre-order of Brad Thor's newest, "Foreign Influence" and I layed down in bed to enjoy a great read over the long weekend, when imagine my surprise when at first my eyes spied the contents of the book -- "The Women's Devotional Guide to the Bible". While I have no objection to that book -- I'm sure it's a fine book, and I do not want to be a conspiracy theorist about why I received the hidden book, but it's not the book I purchased and wanted to read tonight. How can this happen? Two different publishers, and yet my book's soft paper cover and hard back appear to be the new Brad Thor thriller, Foeign Influence. The contents however are a different book, and probably not as thrilling. At least to me. Help Amazon!UPDATE: I changed my rating to five stars because I know it will be that good. Amazon responded fast to my complaint and I should receive the correct book within three days.

Another cracking story in the Scott Harvath series. Chasing down terrorists in Iraq, UK, Holland and USA this book is not stop action. When you think it is over the ending has you wondering what is still to come, great read.

Unbelievable
Not satisfied with creating his hero Scott Harvath,Brad Thor jumps in with not one but a whole gang of super women heroines;Up to that point the story was mildly interesting and readable;I then struggled to finish the book especially after the disaster of "The Athena Project".For me it`s NO MORE THOR

Great read...
I'm a big fan of all the Brad Thor books. Started reading them after I finished all the Vince Flynn books. Scot's different from Mitch Rapp, but similar sort of thing. Highly recommended!

One to be missed
A pretty poor effort from Brad Thor. I have read all the Scot Havarth series up to this one. Stereotypical enemies, stereotypical & simplistic viewpoints about the world. Spouting his right wing views in a book form. Written for a 10 year old.Brad Thor needs to shape up!

Another good Scot Harvath adventure
Each of the Scot Harvath books seem to improve the experience and the story once again keeps you interested to the end. Brad Thor delivers again.
