Beautiful, pretty sturdy, won't take a lot of abuse but is a great dish holder
I've historically used a grippy food mat that could be washed by hand or in the dishwasher and stainless steel bowls. With my Borzoi puppy, I quickly had to switch to non-slip no-tip stainless steel bowls. He still uses his food bowl as a pillow some times and pushes/slides/kicks the bowls all over the place in the kitchen and I got sick of the mess. Although he is technically a giant breed (he's over 30 inches at the shoulder, 70 lbs, and 8 months old currently), I did not want something enormous as I have a small kitchen. Please note, as a veterinarian, I hear a lot of opinions about ways to prevent bloat and feeding with raised feeders is NOT associated with impacting risk of bloat/GDV! The only medical benefit possible is if the animal has significant neck/spinal or shoulder arthritis. Beyond that, it is just a convenience. I purchased this because it holds his bowls in place, if he sleeps next to it or under it, he can't dump/flip the bowls as easily.Putting it together was quick and easy, reminds me of an Ikea product. Came with all the hardware and tools, though I did use my drill for the screws (with care). It comes with extras of everything except the silicon bowl grip rings. It went together in minutes and is pretty sturdy even on my crooked floors! Yes, if a dog feels like it they could tip it over if they get the right angle and force. The bowl size is great for my puppy's LONG but pointy snoot. It comes with 3 large and one shallow bowl. The bowls aren't the thickest and scratch easily and could dent easily, but they are holding up fine with no abuse. The bowls fit in the holes with a bit of finesse, sometimes if you don't set them in right they aren't fully seated and sometimes after vigorous eating the food dish is canted. They are very close together so he gets food bits in his water. It seems to clean easily. No way to know if the finish or wood will stand up with moisture around the dish holes or not. I try to keep it clean and dry after I see him using it but when I remove a bowl there's always moisture and a bit of food grime under. It's attractive and well made and I'm very happy with it. It's working out better than bowls on the floor as far as mess goes. He likes the height, but again, this is not going to impact risk of bloat. The number one risk factor for bloat/GDV in dogs is if a direct relative (sibling/parent) has suffered bloat/GDV. Additionally, trying to limit size of meals and strenuous activity immediately before/after a meal can help decrease your odds but there is no guarantee. If you have a large or deep chested breed dog (again others can get it too!) talk to your veterinarian about management aspects and the gastropexy surgery. It is not done as routinely anymore and is by far not always recommended for every dog, but if your dog has a familial predisposition it might be beneficial in some cases.

Good fit for large dog, questionable quality
After one day we noticed water on the floor and assumed our dog was splashing more than usual. Water kept pooling near the food stand and it drive me crazy for a few days-until I realized the water and food pans included are so thin that there is a puncture/tear in one and water had been slowly been stealthily dripping out and covering the kitchen floor! The metal is so thin, I mean My dog has been using this less than one week and the pans have never even gone through the dishwasher- extremely cheap metal š š Other than that.. itās good looking, sturdy, easy to assemble (they included lots of extra hardware) itās a perfect height for our senior Chesapeake Bay Retriever- his neck is nice and straight when heās eating without any neck or shoulder strain. the size of the pans is good for a large breed, but not huge. I think itās wise to spray the wooden frame with an extra coat of polyurethane or similar because water does splash out and it will only be a matter of time before the wood surface starts to get damaged. All in all, itās kind of problematic for the price I paid, but our dog is very large and there arenāt many competitors that will suit him other than unattractive plastic ones. Meh.

Great for Your Dog - But Split in Wood
I would have given this a 5 Star rating but....This is a sturdy, clean lined design; no fuss and looks good in my kitchen space. After taking out all the pieces for assembling I noticed one of the sides was separated from the rest of its section of wood. This also means that the piece is a bit warped when looking at it from the top. The sealed plastic bag with the hardware had more than required of some pieces and too few of another (the plastic caps) however, theyāre more cosmetic vs. necessary so I just used the two provided. Assembly was easy and an obvious put together. The feed bowls are nice and deep (I received 4 of them.) my dog has eaten from the stand twice now and I like that sheās not all bent over trying to eat from a floor level dish. That alone, outweighs the hassle of sending it back because of the wood separating on one side. For what it costs itās a good design and product but, I expected it to be without a major structural flaw.

Not big enough for a truly large dog
I hate to give a star rating at all, given that as soon as I took it out of the box I could see that it would not meet my needs. I looked at this item multiple times trying to figure out if it was going to have big enough bowls for my dogs, I thought that maybe the smaller of the two bowls was the same size as the bowls we are using now, that Iām looking to replace with larger ones, but supposedly thereās 2 sizes of bowl included, and one is deeper, so I figured that would work out. I was wrong. The bowls are way too small for what I was expecting for a large feeder. I didnāt even take the feeders out of the shrink wrap to assemble them.

Nice design, terrible quality control
I received this product today. What should have been an easy assembly turned into a 2 hour job. 1) 3 of the 4 cam holes were too tight and the hardware had to be pounded in. 2) Two holes holding the pegs was offset 1/16" inch which doesn't sound like much but required me to whittle off the sides of the pegs to get that side to seat, 3) the pre drilled holes for the side brackets are very shallow and screwing into the bamboo takes a lot of strength and makes the screws easy to strip. Get a power drill. I didn't have one. 4) Was sent 6 screws of one length and 2 shorter ones with no explanation of where to use what.

Sturdy and Nice Looking!
I recently adopted a 5-month-old rescue puppy so I ordered this beautiful raised feeder for him. When I received my Double Bowl Raised Food & Water Stand - Tall (12-Inches High) feeder, it was missing some parts and there were some minor issues. I contacted Pawfect Pet Products. Lauren from their Customer Service sent the parts, I received them within 2 days of contact. Thank you so much it was greatly appreciated! I want to commend Pawfect Pet Products on exceptional customer service!
