America (from West Side Story) Sheet music – February 1, 2002

This score isn't faithful to the Broadway version. It completely omits Anita's introductory section: "Puerto Rico, my heart's devotion. Let it sink back in the ocean. Always the hurricanes blowing, always the population growing, and the money owing..." Also during the chorus, it has the "male/female" lines mixed-up. But I used it to teach my kids one of the songs to "West Side Story" when we were studying Puerto Rico, so it worked for that purpose. But don't get it if you want an accurate version of the song; it's very simplified.
