Good idea
This grit guard is a great idea and works well to let the dirt stay in the bottom of the bucket whether mopping ffc floors or washing the car. It is sturdy enough that it should last. Fits my 5 gallon buckets perfectly!Great seller too. Fast shipping.

I use two bucket method and foam cannon. It does a good job of capturing any particulates.

Solid Build. Doesn’t fit the Home Depot Orange Bucket. Otherwise Satisfied.
There’s many out there. But I went with the original. It’s not completely necessary for an older Civic. I'm not a detailer with fancy cars. However with this and high-quality microfiber Wash Mitts, it makes it more interesting when I hand wash the car. It encourages me to wash the car by hand once in a while better than a car wash. And especially prior to waxing. It does have a nice feel to it when you rub the microfiber mitt against it.It doesn’t fit the classic orange Home Depot 5 gallon bucket all the way down. But it’s close. I think the most important thing to do is a really good pre-rinse of the car. I tried the two bucket method. The soapy water without the Grit Guard, the rinse bucket with. There wasn’t much dirty water in my bucket regardless.How well it works is debatable. The bottom line it’s interesting and enjoyable to use. It's not too pricey.

Fits Home Depot Buckets
I normally don’t leave reviews for products I purchased on Amazon, but I really have to give a shout out to this grit guard. These are great grit guards, and they fit the 5 gal. Home Depot orange buckets, as well as the 5 gal. Home Depot/HD opaque buckets. I have purchased grit guards from other companies and In order to make them fit, you have to buy their buckets. Not so with this grit guard. I liked it so much I purchased a second one.

Does it's job perfectly
It fits in a generic home Depot bucket. At first it doesn't feel like it's doing much but when you pour the water out you'll see just how much dirt this thing has been trapping. If you're washing a car without this then you're making a mistake.

Pricy item considering its function
Product look OK but this is not really required to serve the purpose .. for the grid purpose one can use a net or perforated plastic basket instead of buying this high price item.

They do work but at first I wasn't sure as I've never used them before but thought I'd see if they do trap dirt at the bottom of the bucket.After every wash there's been dirt at the bottom of the bucket
