Pretty Decent Watering Can for Casual Hobbyist
For the casual hobbyist, the Bosmere Haws watering can is a decently manufactured watering can. It has a small capacity and can only hold 1 pint (2 cups or 0.5 L) of water. However, it's perfect for keeping the soil indoor house plants moist. If you're looking to soak your plants in water, I would suggest going with a larger capacity watering can of at least a gallon (about 4 L).The watering can is constructed out of a glossy injection-molded rigid plastic resin. As opposed to hollow handles of cheaper competitors, the Bosmere Haws model features solid plastic handles. In this particular 1 pint model, the handle strength is not a design issue because it's so small. However, for a watering can of a significantly larger capacity, I think the solid handles in Bosmere Haws models would be better suited than it's competitors to withstand the functional stresses of regular use.As for the issue of the detachable showering head, I can definitely foresee it being an issue. Bizarrely, the showering head is made out of a different plastic than the hard plastic body of the watering. The head is made out of a softer, flexible plastic that scratches up easily. Because the attaching sleeve is too flexible and constructed too thinly, I am not surprised that many people have experienced the showering head cracking at the base where it joins the watering can. Strictly speaking about its function, though, the perforated tin holes of the shower head delivers a soft, diffused stream of water. Furthermore, I should note that I experienced some sloppy, errant leakage using the showering head.Overall, I really enjoy my Bosmere Haws watering can. It definitely has its flaws, but for indoor use, I love its size for giving plants a regular drink of water. I picked out the red watering can, and it's a bright and glossy cherry color. Hopefully, I won't be experiencing too many issues with it in the future. I'll update my review if I do.

The shower pattern is not too heavy and easy to target a small area. The rose attachment fits on very snugly but does not split. The plastic finish is clean and smooth, and you can easily keep the water flow going til the last drop without awkward tilting of the can. It does not leak, and is a great value for the price. The only thing is I store this indoors and use it on outdoor plants because the arc of the water goes quite far outward. Between this and the 1 liter heritage model, I prefer this overall, but for controlled indoor watering, the 1 liter heritage is probably better.

Perfectly Sized, Poorly Made, but Fixable
This is a great little watering can, especially for bonsai. It is a great size, works well and is reasonably priced. It is a perfect can if you want something small and don't want to pay hundreds for a fancy metal one. But the plastic welding at the bottom of the can leaks, especially under the spout and at the back. I was able to fix it by filling the weld with superglue and some clear nail polish; it works fine now. Still though, when a watering can leaks, it fails to accomplish its main function of actually holding water. As long as you don't mind taking a day to fix the manufacturer's poor quality it is a great watering can.

Leaks
I liked everything about this little watering can. It's a great size for seedlings. However, there is a seam along the bottom and it leaks from there. It's leaked since I got it, though I only recently caught on (I thought I must have been spilling water but my son noticed it dripping from the bottom of the can.) So odd that they placed a seam there.

Micro leak at the seam
I bought this can because I wanted to use it exclusively on my new bonzai project. The multi hole spout can be turned either way for pouring. Because the holes are so small it allows me to water my tree gently which also allows the water to better saturate the soil. The concept of this can is great but it has a micro leak and gets everything wet while it sits over night. This came from Europe so I have not contacted the seller about the leak because its too much trouble for the cost. If it weren't for the micro leak I would give it a 5 star rating.

Not buying these anymore. I'm on my 4th can ...
Not buying these anymore. I'm on my 4th can in all different colors. The spout will clog up after a month or so. Works very well for a bit but then stops coming out all the wholes in weeks to a month. You can always take the spout off but then that almost defeats the purpose of this small plant/bonsai watering can. The build seems quality enough but not worth the price since it doesn't last that long.

Best Watering Can I Have EVER Had!
I have FLIPPED over this little watering can! I LOVE IT! I needed a reasonably priced watering can with a small sprinkle head. This fit the bill! Granted. I paid a little more than I had planned, but it was worth it. It only hold 700 ml of water, so I fill up my regular watering can that has to sprinkle spout and when my Haws gets low, I refill it from my bigger can.I have sand on top of all my indoor plants due to a previous plant fungus gnat problem. I wanted a small sprinkle spout that would not disperse the sand like my regular watering can. This Haws watering can is perfect for my needs. It releases the water in a gentle shower and the head is small enough to get into small areas.I read a few reviews that their Haws cans leaked. Mine has not. I love mine! BEST WATERING CAN I HAVE EVER HAD!

Perfect for Houseplants!
This cute little watering can is perfect for my houseplants. It's small; I knew that from the description. I have to keep filling it up. But it's perfectly balanced and it's small size allows me greater control with my succulents and orchids - plants that you have to water carefully. I use a bigger common watering can for my bigger plants - a massive sprawling Christmas cactus, big begonias and others. It all depends on your collection of plants. I love the control I have with this cute little turquoise watering can.

really bad design, looking for a better one as my ...
Spring has sprung, I come to use my little watering can, whoosh, off comes the bottom, the can, not mine, and I'm soaked along with the floor. seems to be only a reverse lid, stuck on with glue, that obviously isn't very strong. Dratted nuisance , really bad design, looking for a better one as my clothes dry. And the spout kept falling off. Rubbish.

The Quality Is Not Nearly As Good As It Used To Be
We bought a couple of these little watering cans donkeys years ago for seedlings grown indoors and in the greenhouse. 20 odd years later the long neck had cracked on one and the rose had broken on the other. So we automatically thought of the same brand when it came to replacing them. Not impressed this time round. The rose is not as fine and no matter which way round I turn it, it dribbles on one side and is too vigorous for newly sprouted seeds. And considering how lightweight the item is I feel that the postage charge is way over the top.

Good sized unit perfect for small indoor plants - let down by poor quality
Low quality overall. The first one arrived without the rose (bit on the end). Amazon duly sent a replacement. The replacement has a slow leak from the base. Not a problem, I use the old base unit and the new rose.Hard to believe the manufacturers can get it that wrong in terms of making a watering can that doesn't leak... but reading through reviews I'm not the only one who had this problem.Size-wise, this is a good unit. Perfect for cacti/succulents which is what I use it for as the long, slim spout is perfect for small plants in small pots. However, this product is let down by shoddy manufacturing. If yours is defect free then you'll be fine. If it's defective - get a refund or replacement. Can't really recommend based on my experience (of two units).

Sadly not a quality product.
After only using the watering can once a week or so over a few months it has started leaking. This is probably due to its poor design - not made from a single piece of plastic, the bottom is glued on. I thought Haws were a quality company, my parents and grandparents had decades of use from their watering cans made by them. Also when I ordered this watering can it arrived without the rose/sprinkler, but Amazon kindly sent me a replacement for free, but now it is just another piece of plastic heading for landfill - if it had been properly made it could have lasted for many years.

Started to leak after a few weeks using it only once a day
UPDATE: I originally gave this product 5 stars as it seemed perfect for watering indoor Bonsai trees, but after only a few weeks, it has started to leak from the base. I realised that this isn't a puncture, but the base is actually a separate part of the can...if it isn't airtight it seems pretty useless. I have only ever put cold water in it, so I can't see why it should leak other than poor fit. I may have received a rare dud, but even at this price, I wouldn't take a chance on another of these.
