they look nice and fit fine but feel weird due to a lower cotton content
i like the colored toes on only a few of the socks and the length of the crew and bough my normal sock size (5-9) which fit just fine on my 9.5W feet. i washed them before wearing of course because that's just what you do with underwear and socks and jeans and clothes in general. they were REALLY stiff right out of the bag. i did know when i purchased them that they had a weird fabric blend going on: 73% Cotton, 21% Polyester, 4% Rubber, 1% Nylon, 1% Spandex. i've never had rubber in my socks before, and usually the cotton content is much higher.they hold their shape pretty well so far but they definitely feel different than any other socks i've previously owned. they're not very soft at all, for one thing. the loop terry on the inside is thin enough to not bunch up if you're used to slipping on your sneakers or shoes, but that also means that they don't feel very cushioned if you want a pillowy sock. the outside feels a bit scratchy too - someone with very sensitive skin might get rashes or something. and polyester, as we've all learned from cotton/poly/spandex jeans, disintegrates in the washer (even on cold) and dryer (even on low heat) over time, leaving you with shrunken clothing, worn-out spandex, and thinner material. and i don't see any mention of Outlast as possibly being a reason for such a high non-cotton content, which would make me nervous if i didn't need to retain as much heat in my feet as possible for medical reasons. the rubber content alludes me but i can feel it, and unfortunately it does not put a spring in my step or make me feel like i'm more cushioned from impact when i walk.in short, they're black socks, some with cute heels and toes, and they weren't very expensive, but they don't exactly feel like cashmere either. since the cotton content is so low, and they can be a bit itchy sometimes, i'll probably need to replace them faster than i did the last time i had to buy socks, which was probably close to 3 or 4 years ago.

Fit perfect
There not super thin but not so thick they'd bulk up inside a shoe. A decent amount of stretch and they go midway up my calf. If they do shrink I will still have ample room. Great sock. It's been difficult finding this type of sock in a store. I would buy these again. They are also a decent price.

Decent inexpensive crew socks for women.
I bought almost these same socks over 5 years ago and finally needed to replace them when they started to get small holes in the bottoms. But I wore the heck out of them before that happened. The biggest difference between these new ones and the old ones is the socks cuff (the part that covers your ankle/shin). In my old socks this was a much tighter band. While the socks didn't fall down, they did leave elastic marks on my legs. When I first saw the new ones, I was surprised at how much thinner they were then the old ones and was sure they wouldn't actually stay up. Now that I've worn them for a few days, I actually like this new design better. They don't feel as restrictive but still have the same cushioned feet that I really liked in the old ones. I couldn't find women's crew socks locally, so was very happy to find these on Amazson. For some reason, every store, including Walmart, thinks that all women wear are no-show and ankle socks. Wish we had more "work sock" options. But for now, these are fine. I bought two bags, and while I don't think these will last as long as my old ones, for the price I paid, I'm very happy with them.

Exactly what I was looking for!!!
Exactly what I was looking for! 74% cotton, the entire bottom is cushioned, length reaches mid calf for me (i’m 5’6”, 120lbs). They are thick but not too thick, I can definitely throw on some sneakers and still wear them out of the house. They roll down nicely, I was wanting that 80’s rolled down sock and sneaker look or now that Kim K rolled down sock & biker shirt look and these definitely do the job! I’m a size 7.5 in women’s shoes and I went with the 8-12 and they fit perfectly. Not too tight, not loose, and because they are mostly cotton I wanted to make sure they don’t shrink and get tight after washing and drying. I think if I got a smaller size they’d have been too tight for my liking. Also I love that they are all white and don’t have the grey toe or heel. The only color on them is the “Hanes” name across the bottom toe area under the foot in a salmon color (shown in my photo), which I think makes them a little cuter and girlier, but all white aside from that. Overall I’m super happy with them! Will definitely buy again when I need more!!!

Good Quality Socks
These socks are super comfy! I'm a 7.5 in women's shoe and they fit perfectly. They're nice and thick, so they won't be worn down to holes anytime soon, but they're not so thick that I don't want to wear them when it's hot out. The bottom (under the foot) is thicker than the top of the socks, the package claims this is for comfort, and while it is comfortable, it also means they won't wear thin as fast. They're very soft, softer than any socks I've had before. They also don't slide down over the day, the top of the sock is on my leg in exactly the same position when I take it off as when I put them on.The ones that do have the colored toe and heel are all pink, no variety of purple and blue like the picture shows, but personally, I didn't care. While this is listed as a pack of 6 pairs of socks, it is actually a pack of 7 pairs, a "free pair inside". On the package it claims that these socks have "comfort toe seam", and I'd say that's a pretty accurate claim. The seam doesn't have to be lined up exactly right in order not to feel it, you just don't.The package also has two box tops, if you collect those. All in all, I'm satisfied with my purchase.

snug
I ordered these in a large size because of a broken ankle and leg a couple years ago. The injury causes my ankle and foot to swell from time to time. I was hoping these socks would be not quite so snug. Seems like a lot of elastic makes them much "snugger" than expected.. I don't think I could buy them again as the injury is permanent. Maybe you will have some with more cotton and looser fit....if so I will try that.

Thank goodness for cotton socks!
Its' not easy to find cotton socks, these days. It seems the only thing you can find are socks in artificial fibers that make your feet sweat and stink. Have foot odour? Use socks made from artificial fibers? Try natural fibers. I use wool socks in winter, and these in warmer months. I've worn just one pair for 6 months (alternating with wool socks) and I handwash them and lay them to dry so they're ready to be worn the next day. As a result of the wringing from handwashing, they have stretched. The first time I put them on they fit, which was lovey because it's hard to find socks to fit small feet. But after a couple of washes with wringing, they were too long, which didn't surprise me. It's what happens with wringing! They have stood up quite well, although, since I'm a fast walker that regularly wears holes in socks, one sock has developed two small holes near to each other on one heel that I'll be able to darn that easily. That's actually pretty good; I was expecting worse. I'm disappointed that the holes developed but totally understand that it was to be expected. After all, my odd feet and my walking pace have worn holes in the heel areas of leather boots after 3 weeks (which meant an exchange). So not surprised, more disappointed that my feet demolish most things put around them. I'm very happy that I have these socks. I bought them in Fall, Spring's here, and so I'll be wearing my lovely lovely cotton socks in contentment.

Pretty Good Socks But Not 100% Cotton
These socks are about 73% Cotton so they are pretty good in terms of comfort and excellent in terms of fit, but not as cool for the summer months. I believe the problem is that Hanes is not presently making socks that are 100% cotton. I bought some a few years ago that were about 80% which are much more comfortable than these. However, I did appreciate the two bonus socks that came in the package. Many women buy men's socks because they generally have a higher cotton content. However, these size 5-9 are ideal as they fit better. The problem is your feet get rather hot with any socks that are not at least 80-90% cotton. Also, many people like myself have sensitive feet that don't tolerate polyester very well because they fit tighter. I'm fairly happy with these, but will be searching for socks that have higher cotton content. Hanes, I hope you are listening. Comfort is much more important that style.

I like them
My feet are a size 8-8.5 and these socks are alittle big but not to the point its uncomfortable. I actually find them warm during our canadian winter. they seem thick and comfortable. the best part is they stay up and not to tight on my legs. I will buy again

Fine, but worn out in about a year
I bought these to use for a cosplay and they ended up lasting me a year before they started to get holes etc. A good deal for the price though!

They're socks
They are thicker on the soles and the band around the top. Thick enough that I noticed my boots were snugger. And they will leave impressions on the calf. Also lots of black lint between the toes. But they do what they're supposed to: cover my feet. Size 7. Only washed once so time will tell if they last.
