BE WARNED THIS IS A HARD DRIVE CLONING MACHINE AND NOT ONE YOU CAN PLUG IN AN OLD DRIVE ON YOUR PC
UPS. I wasnt watching what I was buying and bought these (X2 of them) by accident, They arrived and I intended to use them for old hard drives checking for files on my old drives, HOWEVER they are not compatible to do that and in fact when I fell all had failed actually read what they are for and it ended up being a better surprise! They are in fact solely to CLONE any hard drive from 2.5's to 3.5s (SSD and SATA) and that is in itself a much better use for me.So I just wanted to let you all know this, They are built with fantastic quality solid plastic, they come with the relevant cables (If needed) and they are what I would class as a "Stand alone" cloning dock that only needs the driver that they come with...A really fantastic and intresting bit of kit because in the past I have used softwares to do this as in DATA retrievaland these save all that..its just a case of pop in a blank new drive and the old one goes in the other slot and use the straight forwards software to clone them, No need to keep a PC on overnight anymore...I hope this is of some use to you all.

Works as expected
It feels like plastic, and the 3.5 inch hdd wiggles a little bit in its slot but it works and reads the hdds.

Maximum drive capacity
The TOOQ TQDS-805G ticks many of the boxes for a dual SATA hard drive docking station, including cloning and USB 3.0/3.1, but it unfortunately has a maximum drive capacity of 8TB shared across both bays whereas there are other similar devices that will do 12-16TB per individual bay. This may be adequate for many users but it would be useful to support higher capacities for possible future needs.
