Sumdex NewPort Vintage 15.6" Laptop Trolley Backpack

I've owned this bag for about 9 months. While it does have a lot of room and the pockets are handy, it does have some problems that are enough to warrant me looking for a replacement.-The laptop pouch is not padded at the back and bottom very well.-The fabric is NOT very water resistant. The first time I was out in the rain with it everything got soaked. Luckily I dried off my laptop fast enough that it didn't get damaged, but I know now that I can't trust it in inclement weather.-The wheels are VERY noisy. It's embarrassing.-The Velcro on the bottom is the "sticky" side, and gets caught on carpets all the time. They should have reversed the Velcro so the non-sticky side was on the bottom.If you only have hardwood floors to traverse, are not going out in the weather, and don't mind the noise, it's otherwise well-crafted and sturdy.

I love my trolley backpack! I bought it on October, and I've been using it since that (four months now). I've chosen it after looking many other similar products, reading all the reviews, and it is very good for the price I paid. It's light, but supports easily my 15" laptop. It works well as a trolley and when I want to use it as a backpack, I open the division that hides the handles very well.

I purchased this for my teenage daughter. She needs a rolling pack because of a back and shoulder injury. She found it acceptable. She doesn't like the stap configuation because contrary to doctors orders she prefers to sling it over her shoulder as a backpack. She notes that it is bigger than her previous, much loved pack and holds more things. She likes the side pockets for her drinks and snacks. She finds the pattern acceptable but not as cool as her red buffalo plaid backpack. Yes she is picky. I, the mom, am proud that I have found a pack she is using. You have no idea how many rolling packs I looked at. My son loves it and says if he can't have blue he will have the grey colour. Please let me know if it comes in other colours or patterns. I think I might like one too.

This is a great weather resistant, pull-along backpack. As a "mature" student I quickly figured out that textbooks and computer are too heavy to carry. This rolling backpack is deep enough to carry all my textbooks and computer and has great smaller organizing pouches for the little stuff and great mesh pouches on the side for a water bottle or something else. The handle is sturdy and easy to use. I'm very happy with this product!

Love it! Just the size I need. Fits in the overhead bin in smaller regional jet planes. I really dislike side checked bags. They sometimes cause delays and missed flights. So if I can get both my hand luggage to fit in the overhead bin, that would be ideal. And this one did! Thank you!

For my daughter to put all her heavy books in for High School as there is limited time to exchange them at her locker(large school). I can say its definitely maxed out in size holding a laptop and all her books(good that it is rolling backpack). Nice feel and handle comes up smooth and quiet. Although, she complains of the wheels making noise down the hall as they make a little noise while rolling. Just got it so will see how it holds up.

Very light and well made. Easy to carry around and not overly big and heavy. It does have ONE major pocket (which included a computer holder and a secondary holder). It does also have two other pockets in the front. Very much recommended.

I purchased this when my son broke his collarbone and was unable to carry his regular backpack. He was able to roll this around, which helped a great deal. My only (minor) complaint is that because of the design, the weight is not evenly distributed as with a regular backpack and was quite heavy when he had to lift it onto the bus. Overall, this was a worthwhile purchase. It did tear in two places after a week, but it was replaced very quickly. I'd recommend this product.
