Works as Intended, No hassle
I purchased this PCI to PCMCIA adapter because I had a PCMCIA data acquisition card (2 channel CAN, if you're interested) that I hadn't used in several years since manufacturers stopped putting PCMCIA slots in laptops. A comparable replacement for my PCMCIA data acquisition card from the same manufacturer (either USB or PCI based) would run USD 600 and up. I can report that the purchased PCI to PCMCIA with my PCMCIA data acquisition card worked on the first try with no additional configuration or driver installation on my part. Definitely worth what I paid for the PC to PCMCIA adapter.For reference: The purchased PCI to PCMIA adapter is installed in a Dell Optiplex 7010 running Windows 8.1. I had previously installed and tested the data acquisition manufacturer's software and drivers with other USB based hardware prior to installing this product.
