Oil-O-Sol Ointment, 2 Ounce Bottle

My family used this product in the 50’s and 60’s. Recently did a search and came up with a few old bottles. I was surprised to see a ad pop up for it. After checking it out I ordered a bottle to try. Wow! It’s like the stuff I remembered. Not as oily, but just as good. Everyone should have a bottle of this in their medicine cabinet.

After a face plant on the driveway left me with several skin scrapes on my face, I remembered my grandmother swearing by this so I was pleased to see it still available. I agree with other posts that it isn’t as strong smelling as in the 1950s. It arrived quickly and after a few applications my scrapes improved considerably. Will be a go to product for family of adults and children.

If you have children it’s perfect! Does not burn or sting when applied to scrapes or cuts. My parents had this when I was a child and I’ll always have it in my medicine cabinet!

This was not produced for several years. So glad to have it again. Heals blisters, burns and cuts on skin.

Great stuff! Almost exactly the same product as I remember using while I was growing up. I don’t think it smells as potent as it used to, or maybe my nose isn’t as sensitive as when I was younger. Heals the splits in my thumbs quickly and better than any other product. My go to wound care product!

My Grandfather was a lumberman in Michigan back when lumbering was a major product of the state. He used this as the perfect healing solution his whole life and it always worked. It was a habit passed on to me. I do notice that they have, somehow, reduced the strong anitseptic oder but it still performs.

Used for years. The best product for burns . Stops pain immediately.
