I used it on my new dr martin black matte shoes and it brought black shine. It was easy and I was satisfied. Yes it may not be professional level or quality premium ingredients than more expensive ones but it was good enough for my use

Creates a high gloss shine very easily and fast, however it is a lot less durable than a hard wax polish and scuffs show easily through it. Good product in a pinch.

I was ready to toss a pair of beautiful leather boots that were gifted to me many years ago, and I bought this as a last-ditch attempt to save them. (FWIW - I don't buy leather for myself; these were a Christmas gift, and they cost over $250.) Even though they conflicted with me ethically, I wore them into the ground. They were GORGEOUS - the kind of shoes you get compliments on from anyone and everyone - as well as comfortable. To be completely honest, I had little faith in this stick changing anything, but it brought those boots back to life. Application was as easy as can be (you just press to get the liquid flowing then sponge and press and sponge and....keep doing that until you've covered everything). Wish I had taken a before & after. They went from a dull grey worn-out look (the boots were originally black) to being jet black and glossy, just like new. No exaggeration! I was astounded. It doesn't last forever, so probably should be 4 stars, but for the price and how little effort it took, I think 5 stars is warranted. Will absolutely purchase again. The fact that I managed to revamp those boots so easily was awesome. It even covered some scuffs / rips in the leather. (Not completely, but they're much less noticeable now.) One of those products I think everyone should have tucked in a drawer. (A Tide pen being the other lol. I'm constantly spilling things!)

Started using this in the Police Academy (2010) to shine my boots & have NEVER stopped using it! It's great for all an overall shine & for a quick touch up. We tried EVERYTHING in the Academy that was out at the time & THIS SMASHED everything else. Not even a close second to this stuff!!! It beat out the military guys 'melting shoe Polish' method by far! NOBODY could figure out how we got our shoes so shiny & to think it's the fastest way to shine your boots & footwear! Lol! The cheapo knockoff stuff in bottles similar to this is GARBAGE so don't even bother & waste your money cause it's a night & day difference with this polish. Like I said, we bought EVERYTHING that was out & tried it numerous times until we found the winner right here! Now there's a potential con to this item but I've got the answer for you in 2 ways. The sponge applicator can come off over time. If you use the brush correctly with the edge of the triangle (the point ALWAYS forward) in the direction that you're polishing, the sponge is unlikely to come off. Brush in every direction WITHOUT the point always being forward in the direction you're polishing & the sponge IS going to come off at some point! If this happens, take a few dabs of super glue & reattach it & it shouldn't ever come off again. My issue with the sponge coming off was always letting others borrow my polish & they don't follow the proper brushing method & it'll pull the sponge off.

The product arrived promptly as promised, it was in good condition, and as expected shone my dull, boots to perfection. Thank you.
