The Confession Duet: Boxed Set (Club Alias Book 1) Kindle Edition

I want to first say that I really appreciate how much research this author did about the BDSM world. It was obvious that they didn't want to 50 Shades it and ignore all of the incredibly important aspects it takes to participate inthe BDSM world.However, unfortunately, I wish there was more research done on therapy (a therapist spanking a client?!) and making the main characters feel real. Whey they are written during their younger years, neither seems to really act their age. The "instant connection" feels like a disney move, but the emphasis on how "innocent" and "pure" the heroine is feels creepy. Once they are older, it feels like there has been no character development. They are exactly the same people they were 10 years before. The author is happy to tell us some of what has happened, but the characters don't really seem to embody any of it. The amount of HIPPAA violations and stalking being framed as "protection" is unnerving. Yes, this is not supposed to be reality, but there is only so far i can push my disbelief. Same with the "all knowing, all seeing" therapist.I don't deny that a D/s relationship might be good for a abuse survivor, but the way it is done with faux identities is far more harmful than helpful. And, again, feels more creepy and predatory than sexy.The sex scenes are hot, and I love that they show aftercare, but overall, I couldn't really get myself to like the characters much. I am taking a chance to read the next book, hopefully the author will do more showing than telling and make the characters a bit more real.

Vi was 18 when she met Corbin at a rock climbing gym. There was a pull between the two, and it was love at first sight. A sweet romance that felt right and could only end happily. That is until trust is betrayed and choices are made that set their course in a completely different direction.Book 1 we meet the characters and get the build up if their romance. A sweet, slow burn love that makes you want a first love like it. Vi and Corbin are the perfect couple and are perfectly written. You truly connect with the characters and in the end, you feel their pain. I was sorely disappointed in Corbin for not questioning anything and taking what was said at face value, even if it didn't make sense. I have never felt more anger towards a character than I did with him. And that shows the genius in the authors writing, and how she is able to develop a character that pulls your emotions.Book 2 the lies are revealed and healing begins for Corbin and Vi. She was always faithful, even if she didn't need to be. Corbin turned stalker and learned how wrong he was for his decision to leave her. In the end we get a happy ending, but Corbin should have paid more for what he did to Vi.

Severe tissue warning! I didn't know my body could leak so much. I had tears going down my cheeks and liquid running down my legs. Sweet Jesus, I'd can write a book that had me hooked emotionally and physically. It was so well worded I had visually seen everything in my head that was written. It triggered some things but its like it helped me also, so Thank you to being able to write a book that can ease my panic attacks.

I really enjoyed the first half of this book. It's centered on Vivian and Corbin's relationship before "it" happens. I didn't so much enjoy the second half of the book. I would have rather seen it go in a different direction. But it had a better ending. (I'm trying not to include spoilers)The second half the book is mostly about BDSM. And a D/s relationship. It goes into depth talking about actual, for real BDSM. Not just walking into a club and watching scenes.I am definitely glad I read this book. It won't be a reread for me. But I did enjoy it.

I was introduced to the series with Nate and Evie's story in A Lesson in Blackmail and then I read Doc's story because I was way too curious about his story, so I've been doing this backwards. I love the series so much! Everything about it! The immense work put into world building, character arc and character flaw being normalized in between the lines... everything is absolutely perfect!With this duet, I felt like it crushed my soul and glued it back together with gold! I was lapping up every detail of Vivian's gentle strength and Corbin's obsession with his wife! The confession time thing was brilliant enough that I plan to use it when it strikes me to confess my feelings out of thin air, it's good for any overthinker out there!Vivian's story told with such care and presicion with sessions in the book, and the characters who care for her mental health made my now golden heart sing and when she broke down it made my heart weep and I was sobbing uncontrollably, enough that I felt my throat closing up with emotion.I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT! The author is new to me and I found her through tiktok and that's how I found the series, but she became my one click author now! I'm so happy I have so much of her books to catch up now! So, I'm off to the next one 😊

Wow! I thought I had read this series, so when I realized I hadn't, I jumped in immediately. What an awesome book! I absolutely love Vi and Corbin's journey! My heart broke for them but I thoroughly appreciated their journey back to INE another. Beautiful and oh so hot! 5 easy stars! Off to the next book!

It's a great thing Vi loves rollercoasters because KD Robichaux takes us on one in The Confession Duet!Corbin and Vi were beautiful and perfect in Before the Lie, with love at first sight and a whole lot of firsts. They took my emotions on a dizzying dance of instalove. Then IT happened and my heart broke. In Truth Revealed, they put it back together again.This couple is so perfect together, 5 stars isn't enough for their swoony love. I loved meeting the Club Alias friends as well and can't wait for more of their stories!!

Oh lord this author …..Read the trilogy of her & her husband. (Wow is an understatement). I went at this like any other book. Couldn’t have been more wrong. Dirty dishes, laundry, pool,and husband all needing some kind attention when this woman’s story just took over my life. This book will swallow you whole, tear your heart out and in the next breath make you believe in hea.

The book wasn’t poorly written but I would not classify this a good read. First of all, it’s frustrating that the main theme is a virgin girl who basically carries the relationship’s burdens such as being r@ped and then lies about it to appease her partner and then goes on to be scared of intimacy for ten years while the male love interest is opening BDSM clubs and enjoying that part of his life. Like I just don’t get why the girl has to legitimately suffer emotionally for their to be a happily ever after. Honestly in my opinion a better ending would have been if she moved on with Seth/ Seven because Corbin didn’t fight for her and if he trusted her he would have caught on to the drinking part and least questioned so he didn’t deserve her 10 years later.Additionally, we didn’t get a close look into the characters, the book more so clarified chain of events that lead to her being assaulted and then mentioned she likes rock climbing but either way from that little bit of information they don’t seem compatible. Like Corbin was so into BDSM that he made a club but she didn’t even know it was something her husband was interested in. Corbin also seemed so selfish like he was so obsessed with her innocence and fact that only he had tapped it while he had been tapping other people before and after her.

Sorry but these books are too unbelievable, the storyline is ridiculous and the characters are shallow. Gave up half way of book 2.

In a shy girl but after reading this wow I did unleash my inner sub and let my boyfriend know just whereas in my mind.... I loved this book and it helped me to understand my own personal feelings to and for that I am greatful... Thank you very much....I have already recommend this book to my friends and said just read it and find out.....It was amazing x
