R4, 4" Recessed Can Light Conversion Kit, up to 50lbs Ceiling Light Fixture, Recessed Lighting, Pendant Light, Hanging Light, Chandeliers, Flush Mounts, & Overall Home Improvement

The key to getting this done right with minimum hassle was staging ahead of time what had to be done. Before ordering the conversion kit, I removed the ring from of the recessed lights and looked at the inside of the can and where the holes were located. I took the conversion kit and the pendant light kit, read through both sets of directions, and lined up the parts. I found ahead of time that I had to remove the conversion kit's mounting bar on the bottom and use the one that came with the light. The actual installation of the conversion kit as well as the light went smoothly. The directions, as well as the video on youtube, were very clear and helpful.

You have to be really handy with tools as well as have a battery operated impact drill. Have a second set of hands for help as well. In a difficult scale of 1-5 I would give it a 4. Be aware that you will also need to drill holes or have a better type of self tap screws on hand as the ones provided just won’t cut it. I will give it that once assembled the change makes a big difference.

The adjustment screw was a little tricky but worked out great for converting my 4" cans.

Used the Can converter to convert a recessed light above kitchen countertop to tracklighting.This product worked as advertised. Saved the cost of an electrician taking out the old can lights and putting in a junction box.First time installation without experience, took me about 3 hours. It was not hard. I recommend watching the video instructions on-line.

This product works, with a little bit of help. You will need a small angle drill attachment if you want to screw the adapter into the existing ceiling can for added safety. I did not because the angle was difficult and there is little room to work in a 4" diameter hole. But the adapter is very sturdy and since it compressed very firmly against the drywall cutout, which was a true 4" diameter hole, I did not concern myself with task of screwing into the sidewalls of the ceiling can. But my fixture was very light weight, a Aisilan monopoint 4" LED spotlight.

I had bought the cheaper can conversion kit made by Westinghouse and it was garbage. I was about to give up converting these two entry can lights over to flush mount chandeliers but I thought I would give this can converter kit a shot.This kit is what you want folks, I had these up in no time at all. The self drilling screws, just take your time and don’t apply a ton of pressure and let your drill do the work.

We bought the Woodbridge Lighting Can converter to change out two pot lights in our kitchen to pendants. First we ordered the wrong size, and found Amazon to be as efficient with the refund process as they were with the shipping process. We could have sourced them locally but the ones available locally were rated for 5 pounds, these are rated for 50 pounds. The instructions were clear and easy to follow and the parts were sturdy. The process was very simple and the pendants look great!
