Great Book which explains the art and science of storytelling

This is where science meets story, an excellent book for anyone learning how to use story for influence.

Wonderfully written and insightful as to the mechanics of storytelling and the science behind its effective use. A must read for educators, business leaders and leaders of any ilke.

Perhaps I’ve been to one too many management seminars, but this book struck me as a handout that would accompany such a presentation - in fact that strikes me as its real intended audience - those who want a TED talk description of the power and beauty of a good story without having to actually read an in-depth book on the subject. This isn’t meant as criticism of the book or the author, it’s just a heads-up comment for that subset of buyers looking for a serious study of story writing. However, it’s probably the perfect thing for a management training class.

The best book ever written on story

This book is hyped as giving more information that the previous Story Proof. It doesn't. Contrary to the hype, it is woefully short on how story works in the brain. And short on detailed how-to's. If you want broad platitudes, this is the book for you. It is incredibly over-priced and, as I found out, the Kindle edition is not eligible for a refund. So I'm stuck with an over-priced, over-hyped, vague set of platitudes.
