Linzer Pure Lamb Skin Painter Mitt

This product worked great and cut back my time getting weatherproofing on deck spindles by 2-3x. It’s expensive but the quality was there (no shedding fibers etc). After one massive project, it will likely be tossed vs cleaned because of the heavy usage but for small projects, it would go really far. It’s easy to clean.Use a glove underneath for quick hand cleanup.

I built a pressure treated wooden deck in the fall , and had to wait until Spring to stain it due to the stain's minimum temperature warnings. The deck was dry and rough, but this mitt stayed intact and did not shred as I had feared. It is very big, though, and may be difficult to use with small hands. It may have a tendency to soak up too much stain, so be sure to squeeze it out a little before application - I did that against the inner wall of the stain can I was using. I would guess that it won't leak all over your hand, but I wore a rubber glove that I provided.The MAIN THING is its flexibility allowing for easy staining of balusters and rails. I also used it on flat surfaces like the top of my railing. Staining my large deck was harder work then I expected, but this mitt, used instead of a brush, made the job much easier and faster. An advantage over a sprayer is that with the mitt, you can do ALL sides (back!) at the same time.

I was repainting a banister and was dreading it. It's a terrible job. But I thought this mitt might help the job go faster and easier. And it did make the painting part easier, but it left behind a LOT of fibers that I had to pick out of the paint and smooth out again. If it didn't shed, it would be a 5.

Recently stained my deck and railing. There are 170 turned spindles on the railing and the mitt made really quick work of getting the spindles stained. Used the can of stain about 1/2 full to dip the mitt, then really easy to wrap my hand around the spindle, working up and down to stain the whole surface in one fell swoop! Also made it easy to get the railings in between the spindles and the floor boards under the railing. Actually, all surfaces that were awkward to reach with even a small brush were much easier - and quicker to finish using the mitt. Washed it out when I finished - and it is ready to go for the next time. Would suggest wearing the latex gloves they provide with the mitt to keep stain off your hand.

The material they’re made of is phenomenal however these particular gloves need more material to bulk up the inside or should be made with stretchy under-fabric for a better universal fit, too twisty if smaller hand.

So my hand did end up with some paint on it and it started to fall apart eventually. However, I was working on a very rough brick wall with lots of ridges. I have never used a painting mitt before so I have nothing to compare it to, but this thing was a game changer!
