Hammerite 5084884 Metal Paint, Smooth Blue, 250 ML

no problems with the seller, arrived as expected, but OMG Hammerite wtf happened. I have used Hammerite in years gone by and it was a quality product. I had a ornate gate to paint, given i had sanded it down nice and smooth and it deserved some quality paint, i went with what I thought I new. The surface as i say was perfectly smooth, sanded and cleaned any residue, it was a mild evening, perfect conditions. After shaking and then Stirring the paint for several minutes i applied the hammerite. it is what could best be described as a thick, tar like substance, mixed with something like washing up liquid. You could not brush it in, it was 40% streak, it congealed almost on contact, any attempt to work meant it pulled and left an uneven, steaky surface. Unfortunately i will have to sand it down again once its cured, that could take a few weeks due to the ridges it created when trying to paint the reverse side, given the opposite side had already cured on impact. Very unimpressive product in 2021

Not clearly described. Was certain I ordered black and blue arrived. Now stuck with it since will cost £3.99 fee to return plus the 40 mile round trip to nearest Hermes drop off point since Royal mail not an option and live rurally.

Early to say about longevity, but I get the impression it will last quite a while. The paint is a bit thick so difficult to get a good finish on it, but I am using it outside so it might have been the warm conditions I applied it in. I know Hammerite has a good reputation so that's why I bought it

Brill good paint easy to put on your colour as expected for frame of hanging chair

The paint is fine, took a lot longer to arrive than was told, could have bought it at Halfords and completed my job a week earlier.
