OUCAXIA Natural Gas Detector, Home Gas/ Propane/ Methane Gas Leak Detector, Leak Sensor Detector with Sound Light Promp and LED Display, Smaller 360 Degree Air Inlet, Simple Installation

I mounted this about 4 feet from the stove under the cabinets that run above the counter adjacent to it. Basically 2 feet above and 4 feet over from the stove, plugged it in and taped the cable flat under the cabinet to look good. I then of course tested it by turning on the gas of the front most burner, and watched the meter readout and waited. Sure enough, as soon as I started to smell the gas, the readout went up, and continued rising over about 30 seconds from 5....6...7...8...10 BEEP BEEP BEEP!!! It was perfect and exactly what I wanted to happen, to alert to accidental gas left on primarily. I simply turned the gas off, and watched the readout drop over 20 seconds or so and the alarm stopped smartly when it dipped below 10 again. This thing is awesome. With the burners going normally it doesn't alert at all, and for a slight smell it reads higher but only alerts after a period of time. Definitely perfect.

This device worked very well in my experience and did its job of alerting you when the amount of gas reached above 10% LEL (Lower Explosive Limit). However I don't have any way of measuring its accuracy, but it does detect something which is good enough for me! Installed this in a sailboat with a propane stove so this was a necessity. I just made a small 12V to 5V regulator and put it behind a panel with power and routed the included micro USB cable to the device. The device draws a very small amount of power, only 40mA, while powered on so draining a battery even over long periods of time is no problem. My only problem with the device is when its disconnected from power it simply turns off instantly, there is no warning beep that power has been lost which would be a nice addition.

This is a good product and it works as it supposed to. Easy to install, simple to control.

I use a lighter to test it and the alarming sound is loud. I am also satisfied with it sensitivity. Now I don't need to get concerned anymore.

It’s accurate, it’s loud, it looks good and offers different mounting options.BUT... there’s no back up power supply. This device only works as long as you have it plugged into a wall outlet. This limits you on placement. I wish they would do a 12v batter compartment as a back up.Besides the hassle of having to run a wire to power it, I am fairly pleased with it. I tested it and saw it worked well.

We moved to a home with a gas furnace last year and my husband has been paranoid about gas leaks ever since. Once a month he swears he smells gas and calls the company to come check for leaks. This was so simple to install I did it myself and showed him when he came home from work. Now whenever he starts to wig out he goes to check the readout and it eases his mind! Well worth the peace of mind!!

This hockey puck size gas leak detector is powered by 5v and comes with a 120vac to 5vdc dongle and USB cord. Low voltage supply allowed me to run the power wire through a kitchen cabinet next to the stove and mount the detector under the overhead cabinet. I turned on the gas and in less than a minute the detector sensed the leak and alarmed. It quickly returned to zero after shutting off the gas and airing out the kitchen. I bought a second OUCAXIA to replace a failed Nighthawk gas detector in my furnace room.

After having an issue with my gas stove, I found out I needed a new gas detector. I made sure to test this one and it worked very well.
