My dad would sit in his chair in the family room to watch tv and read. For the longest time he didn't have a lamp. My brother finally talked him into letting him put one in the brick on the fireplace. It was great for him but...it would shine in anyone's eyes sitting across from him. I saw these advertised, bought them right away, gave him an early Father's Day gift and they work great!

Loved the glasses but they lost the screw in the hinge
The glasses fell apart on the first wearing. The shaft is so thick that the local optical company could not find a screw long enough to repair them. Otherwise they were perfect for my stitching in dark places. Great for air travel.

I'm convinced!
Having purchased numerous "solve all your problems" items that don't, I was pleasantly surprised by the effectiveness of the LightSpecs. I am a beader who works with tiny seed beads to create custom jewelry. The combination of bright direct light and magnification provides the clear view that I need to find the minute holes for my needle. Only down side: if I wear them too long (two hours), I get a headache. Solved most of that problem by taking brief 10 minute breaks, removing the glasses and focusing on distant views. A GREAT TOOL for crafters.

Nice Reading Glasses , but Overpriced ...
These reading glasses look expensive and, are really nice not heavy on your face, however, I purchased a similar pair by Greenwon that are just as nice, and cost half the price...The Lightspecs Led lights are very bright, if you don't want such a strong bright light order a different pair...I use these Lightspecs reading glasses @ night to read, and,the Greenwons in my car...would have given 5 stars if glasses weren't "overpriced"..

What a hoot!
In addition to being useful, these are entertaining. I had quite a bit of fun showing them to the people at work - one comment from a bird hunter was that he needed a pair to use in his duck blind.They are very useful for close work such as "ripping a seam" or sewing on a button. I found them a bit of a nuisance for reading but that may be a matter of getting used to them. Wish they came in a higher strength. I would invest again at 3.5.
