This mat is seriously amazing. I was in love with in the minute I took it out of the box. I just love elephants and couldn't decide if I should get the all gray one or the blue and gray one but after agonizing a few days, I decided to get the one with a splash of color - and it turns out to go very nice in my son's nursery.The mat is just so plush and comfy, like literally irresistible. My baby loves just hanging out it. So does my dog. Not always at the same time, but when their moments collide - it's heart-melting. And sometimes when I'm just over-exhausted and literally can't stand anymore, I'm not ashamed to admit it, I lay my weary head on Mr. Elephant for a 5 minute blissful snooze. I can't say this is a great idea for my bad back, but that's why somebody made this miracle  LUCID Gel Memory Foam Mattress Topper . So now I can just randomly lay on the floor and make up for it later. Sometimes we all squeeze on Mr. Elephant together. It's kind of a tight squeeze but super precious. I usually end up with a dog butt or baby butt in my face, but... you know, LOVE.Anyway, I have not had any issues with any "fuzzies" being ripped out by my baby and him trying to eat them or anything - and he's definitely a ripper. Also, I was a bit paranoid because my fiance can't seem to learn how to put on diapers correctly (even almost 4 months post delivery) and inevitably little man leaked on the mat and I was unsure of how to wash it. I decided on delicate cycle with  Dreft Baby Laundry Detergent  and a dab of  Mrs. Meyer's Fabric Softener . I then allowed it to air dry. To my horror, it looked like the fabric was a little stiff when it was completely dried. But I just gave it a good shake and fluff with my hands and it was as good as new! Quite a relief.I can't recommend these mats enough. I see Amazon has quite a selection and sometimes I fantasize about getting a whole bunch and just scattering them throughout my house. But I think I'm running out of the new mom grace period where it's acceptable to do things like this.

Many of my friends are now have grandchildren. I have bought a number of these items for gifts, especially, the elephant. Everyone loves it. In one case I bought the elephant for a neighbor. Two yrs later I see the toddler dragging it around the lawn and driveway. He won't let go of it. His parents say that every 3 weeks they throw it in the laundry.

I bought this as a gift for my new grandson. It is so soft and cute. My daughter in law loved it.

I love this Matt but sure wish it had thicker padding for baby to put on floor.

the craftsmanship of this pink owl baby mat was wonderful. My baby loves to lay on it. It is about 2 to 3 inches thick which provides plenty of cushion. My only issue and the reason I rated it 4 stars, was the material sheds very badly. I have a 7 month old and she likes to stick everything her mouth and she's always drooling. This mat sheds all over her face and in her hands and I do not want her to ingest it. I am constantly picking the fluffies of her face and out of her fingers.

I love everything about it. Sadly my son is growing too fast and it seems to be of use for a short while.

This is a "go to" baby shower gift! Everyone loves this mat. It's soft and so portable.

My daughter loves this for her 2 year old son. She put it in his crib when he was about 20 months. He does enjoy using the elephant head as a pillow...just the right height. He rubs his hand on the soft furry fabric. Does not fill up crib...about 2/3. He gives the elephant sweet hugs:)
