Astro Poets: Your Guides to the Zodiac

Ultimately I decided to return this book. You could play a drinking game with how many times Alex writes that Earth signs are "boring." I was hoping for more depth and helpfulness.

I absolutely love Astro Poet's Twitter feed. Every week, Alex and Dorothea craft beautiful, pithy horoscopes that never fail to ring true. I'm constantly in awe of their ability to meld the beauty of language with the luminosity of the stars. The verve that illuminates their past work appears in this guide in multitudes. While the book can be used as an introduction to astrology, I think that it is also a gorgeous meditation on the art of living. Each chapter explores the imaginative, romantic, platonic, and stylistic qualities of each of the twelve zodiac signs. Ruminations on art and artists, popular culture and celebrities, are woven throughout. In this way, the guide also constitutes a cultural history text of sorts. It really defies easy categorization. However, through it all, the authors do a wonderful job of showing how our connections to planetary bodies reflect/enhance/complicate our connections to each other. As a Libra sun, I absolutely felt SEEN in the Libra chapter. Dare I say it was the best chapter in the book! Buy this book and follow Astro Poets on Twitter (if you don't already). You won't regret it :)

Gifted this for my astro enthused sister for Christmas. I got her into astrology and she follows the author on Twitter and IG. I don’t because I’m not a fan but she asked for the book and I delivered. We found that they got the dates for Scorpio wrong (my sisters sun sign), so I told her I’d return it and get her a more accurate book.I forgot about til a month later and could no longer return so I ended up regifting to my coworker who is just getting into astrology.Definitely a cool design, the poems are nice (coworkers a poet/writer so he really enjoyed it).Overall 3 stars because though there were inaccuracies, it’s a cool gift and is well designed.

In loooove. Huge fan of Oliver Hubert, that’s what brought me to this book, but it’s so well written and interesting! Love and would buy again.

They were able to get the zeitgeist of pop astrology. Astro Poets ( twitter celebrities ) astrology is more of an artform than a ancient predictive science. A photo of the Occult renaissance moment we are living Now.

Bought for a Christmas gift. He will love it

Hilarious on twitter, hilarious in book form. I got it for my stepdaughter and we ended up passing the book around reading excerpts from our signs chapters.

Interesting book, I really like it

I follow them on twitter, where their astrology comments are quirky. This book is boring and predictably written.
