I purchased the juboty battery case in september. It worked really well for about 3-4 charges and then seemed to just stop working (no ability to turn on or charge or be charged). I wasn't able to contact the seller until early December, which was outside of the return window, but the seller still responded quickly and was willing to replace the battery case. I received the replacement within a few days and have been using the case for about 1 week. I have only charged it twice but it is working well. I will update if the product fails again. Even though my first battery failed within a few uses, I would recommend purchasing if you need a charger for the original SE due to the fact that the seller is responsive and willing to address problems with their product.

This is a powerful battery case and it worked upon receipt. Four days later, the case would no longer charge the iPhone even though the back illuminated when holding the button for three seconds as if it were charging. Reliability is paramount, and this battery case quickly proved to be unreliable.

Let us cut to the chase, this product is going to break but you should buy it anyways.The reason you are searching for a 5/5s/SE iphone battery case in 2021 is your phone is old and the battery is worn down and you need (or want in my case) to limp your phone along for as long as possible. You could replace the battery but there is risk involved there. You open up your phone to replace the battery and you think it all goes well but then it never powers back on again. This case is a cheap and easy way to get a few more months of life out of your phone and it is a heck of a lot easier than having to carry around an external battery. So if it breaks after 2 months be happy it did not break after 1 month!Now my personal experience-I love my iphone SE. The design size and features are perfect. The fact that Apple dropped this design from the product line up is truly a shame. Apple did release the iphone 12 mini and 13 mini which fulfil my size and design needs but the darn things don't have a fingerprint reader! Until Apple puts a fingerprint reader back on the iphone I will stick with my iphone SE. But alas my iphone SE is getting on in years and cannot make it thru the day on a single charge, even if I do not use it. I needed a cheap solution.There are about 15 options for iphone 5/5s/SE battery cases on amazon. 2 are from the olden days when the 5/5s first came out and are from "reputable" companies like otterbox and mophie but their capacity and feature are limited. The rest fall into a single category that one can only refer to as "made in china". There are 2, maybe 3 actual products that are being sold by 10 different companies. I think there is some variety in features that one could consider, but I think that is limited to LEDs that indicate charge and the ablity to charge the phone and case at the same time which I think is bogus since this cases sometimes does and sometimes does not do that. Pick the cheapest one with the fastest shipping. At the time this product was the cheapest. I will say it again, pick the cheapest one! 2-5 months from now you will be buying a new one.After getting the case and using it for about a week I was kicking myself for not buying it sooner. It was a game changer for me. I could make it longer than my friends with brand new phones!After a few weeks and a few drops the top bezel piece retention clip broke on one side so out came the duct tape to keep it together. The clip is small and brittle I knew day one that would be the first thing to go.About 2 months in and I started to notice the charge port was a bit touchy but did not think anything of it until about 3 months in and I couldn't hold the phone while it was charging. I could still get it to charge though so it wasn't an issue unless I forgot to charge it overnight. I limped it along for another 1-2 months and it got to the point were it was a gamble if it was going to charge or not. I was annoyed that the case had crapped out after such a short time so I reached out to the seller and voiced that to them. They responded in less than 24hrs and asked a few questions. They then said they would send a replacement which would take a while or they could issue a refund. I asked for a refund of course since amazon could send a new one to me with 1 day shipping. That took a few more day but I was impressed when I got an email from amazon stating that a refund had been issued. I was blown away, this "made in china" product that at least 4 other companies were selling had a seller/manufacturer that stood behind their product and made it right when something went wrong.With refund in hand I started my search again and found that this case was not the cheapest anymore. I would have liked to stay loyal to a company that stood by their product. Money talks though and a 5 dollar savings can be put toward the next battery case so I bought one of the other clones. It is on its way. I know now to be more gentle with the charge port so lets see how long that one takes to break and if the seller stands behind it like this one did.

This is the second of this model battery case I have purchased for my older iPhone SE. The previous one worked great for years before the battery eventually swelled and cracked the case. They are priced cheap enough that I don’t mind buying another one. Swollen batteries can happen, I’ve had to replace the battery in my actual iPhone once because it’s battery swelled and popped off the glass face screen. Anyway, this battery/case combination works fine. You should know, though, that the product is so “generic” that the manufacturer’s name is not on the item, the box, or even the instruction booklet.

This charging case was the perfect addition in keeping my iPhone SE (1st Generation) charged and working during my latest trip. I use my iPhone SE whenever I travel internationally and without this case I wouldn’t have been able to use the phone. Several times this case saved me when the battery percentage went from 80% to 10% in a matter of minutes.I did heed the warnings of other reviewers and made sure not to take the case off once I put it on, for fear of breaking the fragile clips.In regards to charging the phone and the case at the same time, I noticed this only worked when I was using a 20W quick charge iPhone charger or when using a USB port that offered 2A. Otherwise if using something with less wattage or amperage, the charging capacity was only enough to keep the case charged not the phone.One full charge of the case was enough to recharge the iPhone SE several times. For what it’s worth, I’m using iOS 15 on the iPhone SE.

Used this for approximately 4 months and it helped extend the life of my iPhone SE. Eventually the battery in the phone was toast. During the 4 months of use the top clip broke so the top cover was held in place with black tape.I gave it 3 stars because it is a middle of the road product and worked as advertised.

These battery cases are not Mfi standard. Therefore, while the phone will charge using the case, if you plug in the case while the phone is attached, you will get the device not supported error. Which means your phone will not charge with the pass through of the case. So you either have to, A) Remove the case from the phone to charge it and the phone separately, or B) keep the phone in the case while charging, but then need to turn on the case after the case charges so the phone can charge. Which effectively doubles the time to charge your phone to do it this way. All in all, this is a large waste of money since you cannot charge the phone and case together.
