Great nonslip wok shoe but…
I’ve bought this same shoe for years because they work well. However, lately they have a 6 month life expectancy before the leather tears from the sole and they gouged the price.

Not cute, but they do the job
This is my second time buying this pair of shoes, mainly because they fit better than others I've tried. Despite my narrow foot, I buy the wide size (which feels wider than other "wide" shoes I've tried) because my toes rub up against the side of other shoes a lot (possibly caused by excessive sandal-wearing in the past. Nothing holding my toes together in those). I wore the first pair until I had a 2 inch hole in one of them. I tried to find others in every brand and style, and I ended up coming back to these. When I first bought my first pair, I was on my feet all day, and these worked great for comfort. I have not slipped in these (though I don't know if this is actually due to the supposed no-slip), and this is important because I am disabled--I fall a lot through other methods, so avoiding slipping is a good thing. My complaints about these is that until about 6 months ago or less (when I wanted to purchase them), these came in leather, and now they're not, at the same price. The "S" design on the side has changed. It was fully embroidered before but now it's a few layers simply sewn on. It's not a big complaint, but I prefer the previous. The design hasn't changed much otherwise. I don't find the all-white or all-black sneakers as particularly attractive, but the comfort outweighs this. I do wish wide shoes came in more than just black or white though. I didn't have any trouble breaking in the pair I bought in 2009, but this pair has been cutting into one of my ankles for the past week. I am waiting it out, hoping they'll improve. I am breaking these in much slower because I have a sit-down job now vs my first pair when I was on my feet for twelve hours a day.A good pair of shoes overall.

Excellent shoe!
I needed to have a non-skid shoe for work and do not like memory foam. These were pretty much perfect. They are attractive, comfortable, supportive and durable and have the non-skid soles. They fit true to size for me. The only thing I didn't like is that my right foot is a bit smaller than my left and when I would walk, the stiff leather would bruise my big toenail on my right foot. The leather just would bend differently on that shoe because the right one was a bit too big. But I have to fit shoes to my left foot, my bigger foot. The leather is not super soft. It will soften a bit but it is thick, somewhat heavy leather. These are super sturdy shoes and will last a very long time. Maybe it was just a fluke with that right shoe but I don't want to chance bruising my toenail again. Otherwise, they are fantastic! I wish the leather were a bit softer. I hope this helps!

Not Memory Foam is the BEST
Women's work shoes are very hard to find. This is the exact pair I bought when I first started working at my current job, about 3 years ago. They lasted about a year - which, considering I'm on my feet 50 hours a week, was incredibly impressive - but when I went to buy them again from where I got them originally (Sears, I believe) I found that they didn't make them anymore. They made an almost identical version, only the new ones had memory foam soles. I bought a pair of those to replace my originals, but found that I only got a few weeks out of them before the memory foam contoured to my foot in such a way that it didn't actually provide padding anymore. I went on a quest (both online and out in the world) to find a pair to match my originals, or just a good quality women's work shoe that wasn't memory foam and didn't have steel toes, and found that this combination was almost impossible to come by. Eventually I found these here, triple checked that they weren't memory foam, and ordered with my fingers crossed. I was elated when they showed up and were exactly what I wanted. I've had them about 4 and a half months now and they're still going strong - again, I abuse the crap out of them, so 4 and a half months is actually pretty impressive on it's own. I'm hoping to get at least a full year out of them, though they're already money well spent for the lack of foot and back pain, and will 100% order them again when the time comes. I can only hope that these don't vanish as well before then. Maybe I'll even buy a backup pair now, just in case. These are truly a great investment for any woman who has to wear slip-resistant shoes at work and doesn't want steel-toes or memory foam. In fact, if you're looking at these and currently have memory foam, I'd highly recommend giving these a chance. Memory foam is sorely overrated, especially when you're on your feet all day long.

So Far, So Good...
After a near decade hiatus of not working outside the home to homeschool my youngest, I'm back in the workforce--and on concrete floors as such. I found this product based on the reviews and the simple fact that sneakers weren't designed to prolonged periods of standing on concrete; I was determined to find a shoe to put me and concrete as far apart from one another as possible. And with my previous Sketchers purchase, I figured I'd have nothing to lose.So far, so good. With a pair of arch-lifting inserts--I've the flattest feet this side of the Mason-Dixon--my feet, legs and back in these shoes don't ache as much as they'd done in other brands / products, and the feet don't hit that 4 or 5 hour "wall" during my shifts. I'm headed to work in a bit, and will post an update on how my tootsies feel afterwards. It's soft, lightweight, roomy and heel supportive for sufferers of planktar fascitis.Definitely recommend this product. Again, will post later how they're holding up and after having them for a week.UPDATE: After last night's 6 hour shift, my feet hit the 5 hour "wall" while wearing these Sketchers. But I can happily report my legs, hips and back were fine and didn't suffer any pain as they had in previous shoe/innersole insert combinations. With a quality pair of innersole inserts and switching out the shoes periodically, this product holds up. I'd hd given this 4 of 5 stars: it doesn't do much for the back of one's heel or ankle support, but overall quality, well done, and I stand by my recommending this product.

Sturdy walking/hiking shoe from Skechers - happy to find them on Amazon!
I found these Skechers on Amazon after some searching - you cannot buy these in a retail store any longer, so I was happy to find them. I currently have two pairs that are well worn and need replacing. These shoes are very sturdy - a great shoe for walking/hiking. The non-slip sole is really good in rainy weather. I find the shoes to be comfortable. I also have a small insert I wear for extra support - lots of room to accommodate in this shoe. I wear these in the Spring/Fall in a rainy climate and they are wonderful. The price was pretty good on Amazon - a little less than what I paid retail a couple of years ago. I hope to order another pair from Amazon while they have my size! I find the fit to be accurate. Shipping was fast too.

Exactly what I was looking for!
I've been looking for a pair of non-slip shoes that I could wear everyday that would keep my feet from getting wet and these fit the bill exactly. Great support, the width is perfect as one of my feet sometimes swells up. Would be nice to have a memory foam insole in it but the shoe is still comfortable. I will buy them again when I need another pair.

Good functional shoe for work
Good shoe for my work where I'm on my feet a lot, concrete floors, and not allowed to wear runners. Fits my orthotic as well (deep enough). Pretty lightweight and comfortable. No real break-in required.
