This mobile phone is easy to use and set up. The large buttons are clear and make it so much easier to use and the sound quality is very good too. Definitely a good choice for older people and those with hearing difficulties or stiff / chunky fingers. Its not 2g this one!Its sturdy and seems well made. The docking base is fab; no messing with leads. Easy to put battery and SIM card in. SOS easy to set up and message close family instantly pressing one button! The price is great value for a decent seniors 4g phone with useful functions and it's holding charge very well so far.

I bought this phone for my father, who is in lockdown in a nursing home. He was struggling to use FaceTime and we wanted something simple so he could keep in touch with the family in the last few weeks/months of his life. This is a simple, no-nonsense, phone which he is able to use even when he has just taken medication. We programmed the four numbers for the family members and, even if he does not know what he is doing, he manages to get through to one of us when he wants to talk. We added a sim with unlimited minutes for £5 per month as he is not technologically savvy enough to text or use the features of more modern phones. This has made the world of difference to all of us, being able to remain in daily contact, especially for him to be able to contact us when lonely.

Have bought three of these for my mum. She has found it easy to use. Batteries die within 12 months so have needed to replace.

All I wanted was a basic functional phone for phone calls and texts, anything more would be a bonus.This fulfils requirements whilst looking reasonably attractive/modern and feeling sturdy, and being compact enough to fit in any size jacket/coat/shirt pocket.Additional benefits in no particular order:1) Long battery life when fully charged, apparently. If this turns out to be untrue I'll be back with an update.2) Takes two SIM cards. Useful for me as I recently had to get another SIM on another PAYG account as a stop-gap.3) Torch. Might be useful for such close-up things as locating a key lock in the dark, but doesn't work when the phone is switched off.4) Nice big buttons and a clear display so my slightly dodgy eyesight doesn't deceive my brain.5) Takes the upgraded Virgin SIMS (the reason I had to buy this as the new SIM wouldn't work in my old phone). It will take small SIMS but apparently the full-sized ones are preferred.Things I don't like (again, no particular order):-1) The noise it announces itself with when switching on is too loud, too long and just HORRIBLE! I can't locate a way of turning its volume down, changing it or stopping it happening. There is a similar but shorter cacophony when switching the phone off. EDIT: Have since discovered how to stop the noise from happening.2) Limited selection of ringtones for calls and text alerts. Only a handful in total, and most of them are embarrassingly unmusical and off-putting.3) Radio. Nice to have but I didn't need it. Only appears to receive BBC Radio 2, which I listen to anyway almost daily, but the reception and sound aren't great and the phone has to be oriented at a certain angle to keep the signal.4) Camera. Didn't want a camera but if it's included I would expect it to take reasonable quality images. This one approximates to a prehistoric cave painting so they needn't have bothered.5) The sound quality when making a phone call isn't brilliant --- a bit muffled and not loud enough (and no, I don't have any hearing problems!).6) No charger. I can charge this from my laptop, but if I'm out of the house I may need to charge it directly from the mains. Needed to purchase an additional adaptor for this (less than a fiver but an additional expense nonetheless).I don't know if I would use the "emergency" function but I might put a couple of numbers in anyway just in case.It also does other things that I'll probably never use.OK for the price, I suppose.UPDATE 14 AUGUST 21:After only seven months of use the phone refused to properly switch on one day. The screen lit up but none of the menus were available so it was effectively useless. I tried everything I could think of to bring it back to life but to no avail. Contacted Amazon customer services and they reached the same conclusion as me, i.e. it was f****d! They offered me a full refund and I accepted.I have changed my star rating from 4* to 1*.

I am 74 and not very tech savvy!! This phone was super easy to set up. I set it up in 5 minutes!! I could not believe it after trying with other "easy set up" phones. To call, you press a button and dial your number. Easy peasy. It is for my 84 year old husband who is in hospital. It was just over £20 and I got a PAYG £5 SIM from Lebara. So if you need a big number, easy phone - this is the one. I am so pleased!!

A very good phone. Big buttons. Easy to use and it has a good sized screen. The speed dial is very useful. It also comes with a booklet explaining what each button can do.

This is a fabulous little phone and fool proof! Anyone can use it.A elderly gentleman came out of hospital who we were looking after and needed to be able to get hold of help, I brought this phone as it had the sos function but also the big buttons. After programming in the phone numbers for him it was easy. All he had to do was either speed dial for 2 favourite numbers which is a case of press and hold down the star or hash key or go up and down the phone book which he managed with ease. He has been through many phones before and this is the first one he has picked up and been able to use with ease.The sos function sends a sos text and phones the number you programme and when he presses the back sos button hard it sends that alert. So I will know he is in trouble and needs help.I also love that the charger is a stand that can sit beside the bed and therefore he can be safe at night also.The only bad thing is they do not supply a plug for the charger and so you will need a usb plug brought also. Apart from that it’s a great little phone.

I bought this for my mother in law and it was very easy to set up and the docking station is very useful and the only downside I found was when she was cleaning the dog paws it was in her pocket and it set the emergency call of which I set up. So it is a good and useful phone

Teléfono móvil con pantalla con buena visibilidad, opciones sencillas y funciones básicas para personas que no estén acostumbradas a emplear tecnología. Dispone de base de carga que es más cómodo a la hora de recargar la batería y como base para tenerlo en casa.

Ottimo telefono per anziano o per chi non ha la necessità e la voglia di avere un telefono che lo distragga troppo, semplice ed essenziale fa quello per cui è stato inventato il telefono: telefonare!Poi ha una funzione molto intelligente e funzionale, il tasto SOS, utile in tante situazioni diverse, soprattutto per chi ha qualche difficoltà o si trova spesso da solo.Consigliato
