The Book of Lao Tzu Tao Te Ching

Almost all of the books by Dr. Yi Wu are very excellent books. I am a big fan of Dr. Yi Wu and have read most of his books in Chinese. However, this one is kind of too simplify for me. I have one similar to this but in Chinese version, and it is much more details and deeper meaning than this one. Perhaps this is just my personal opinion.

I've read several translations of the Tao Te Ching and this is my favorite. Dr. Wu has a scholarly approach to the text. The introduction roots the text historically and then he outlines the essence and function of the Tao. This philosophical rendering reads very well and sources some classic Chinese commentaries. Although I do not read Chinese, this book is bilingual. An added plus for those who are studying Chinese or English.
