Origami Spectacular! Kit: [Origami Kit with Book, 154 Papers, 60 Projects] Paperback – December 15, 2004

My seven year old son, who is not the artistic type, is really into oragami. Many of the books we've taken out of the library are little difficult for me to handle, much less a 7 year old. However, we found a few titles by Michael LaFosse in the library and found them less difficult. So when I saw this kit, I figured it would be great. Some of the items in it are simple enough for him to work on his own and some I have to help with. There are a few that are a little difficult for me to handle, but not many. Overall, I think it's a great kit for a child or an adult to start practicing with and the value is good as you do get a lot of papers to work with. I would recommend it to others.

I was surprised when this arrived that it was in such a huge box. I bought this as a gift to send to Europe, so I was concerned how I was going to ship it. I ended up opening the box, though, and inside was the book and a sealed pack of paper, which I was able to easily fit into a USPS flat-rate envelope (even after wrapping).I looked through the book and the instructions seem clear. There is also a nice variety of different things to make. The paper pack is large and also includes a wide variety of colors and textures.

I gave it to my 10 year old granddaughter and it didn't make it out of the house before she started using it to create things.

Picture is a bit deceiving,.. but my daughter liked it. It has everything that it says,... just looks like a whole lot less when you open up the box.

This was bought in "NEW" condition or so we thought. When we got it the "KIT" was not a kit, it was just the book. It did not contain the paper along with the book like it claims to as an Origami Spectacular Kit. My son was very upset and so was I but was not paying to ship it back so we just bought our own paper.

This is good for the beginner Origami-ist. I was disappointed because the projects were too easy. Paper is average origami quality. Would not recommend for intermediate and above.

This is the best kit with lots of papers for a good price. There are easy instructions for older kids and adults.

I bought it for my 9-year old daughter for her birthday. She loves it and we often play together with it. The designs are quite easy to follow and cute, so success is guaranteed. There are different sizes of paper and different colours and patterns. Would buy it again.

Very basic, I wanted an advanced kit
