Gotta Like Large Cubes
I've had these about 8 months. I like the size of this cube for my tastes. The silicon trays are bit quirky. The tray won't hold safely it's own weight when full. This means you cannot use one hand to open the freezer door while holding the tray in another.Unlike old trays, there is no convenient way to make the water depth symmetrical for all cubes unlike your standard factory issued cube trays. Filling them evenly is a learned art.The trays will sit atop each other, though this is where the art of filling them becomes crucial. You must learn how to fill them below the top (and still enough for large cubes) otherwise the top tray will sit in the water of the bottom tray. NOT good for preventing ice contamination. In Russia, it is uncommon to serve ice with beverages. Perhaps they know the risk.Someone's review questioned the bottom being indented and not flat and square. That is a good design that makes the cubes easier to remove. If you're a 'square', these won't meet your demands.

Flimsy and spills but once frozen works great
It feels flimsy but very easy to work with once frozen. When you try to move it full of water it tends to band and turn spilling contents. I did not notice any bad odors. However, I did wash it in the dishwasher prior to use. I have another tray that is thicker and doesn’t have this issue. If you don’t care about the spills or the inability to hold this in one hand it works great.

Good Ice Tray
I like the ice trays. The size of the ice is really what I was looking for. The mold is semi-sturdy, but that's good to enable you to work the ice out of the tray when it's frozen. The downside is when it's just water, you have to be careful or you will spill. After a few tries, I am able to work the ice out easier and not spill as much trying to get to the freezer.

Easy to use, makes nice whiskey ice, but doesn't clean up - oxidizes and looks shoddy after one use
Like that these whiskey cube trays are larger and make more in one use than most; they made good ice, but drawbacks are: (1) no lids/covers, so they are not stackable while the water is in process of freezing (I found others (also on Amazon) that make 6 cubes rather than 8 but have nice silicon-like lids so you can stack them) and (2) unlike other similar black whiskey ice trays I have used, these had a white/off-colored residue or oxidation of some sort that stained the trays after just ONE use that did not clean off/resolve after extensive cleaning. So now, after just one use, I am stuck with trays that are not returnable and I'm not sure are safe to continue to use. Will probably just put them in the trash.

Leaves a gross film on water
I wanted to love these silicone ice trays (I've bought several kinds), but they leave an awful white (waterproof) film on top of my drinks when I use them. I've tried all manner of cleaning them (boiling, abrasive sponges), but the film doesn't go away. The film even appears when I use distilled water. Disappointed because the big cubes work so well, but I can't get past the bizarre slime on top of my drinks.

Big cubes thaw slower...
These cubes are great for summer pitchers...whether tea, water, or an adult beverage the cubes keep beverages cooler longer. This is my first silicone ice tray and I am quite pleased with the ease of removal. The only drawback is that they don’t stack - not even a little. I am on the hunt for something I could use as a divider and perhaps increase the total number of these trays that I am able to freeze at any given point.Definitely recommend!

Large Ice cubes
The ice tray is made of silicone. Each side of the cube is approximately 1.75 inches. The ice cubes are relatively easy to remove based on the size but it does take of pushing the ice out from the bottom. I recommend this product if you're looking for large ice cubes, making frozen treats, or freezing stock/herbs for cooking.

Does the job
It doesnt leave a taste on the ice if you wash it beforehand. Unsteady so it's hard to balance without spilling when putting in the freezer. Pretty tough to get out as they become sharp around the corners. If I did it again, I would have gone with circular cubes
