Good idea, bad connection
I am using the Beets BLU Key Finder with an iPhone 5, iOS 8.3.I bought this Key Finder to find my key. This means, I wanted to hit a button on my phone and the Key Finder should make a noise. The Key finder does a great job with that.So why only 2 stars?Well, this is pretty much the only thing that the Key Finder does. You can also use it to make sure your key is always in the range of the key finder/phone. And this is the problem. It always loses the connection. Sometimes the connection is lost, when the PagerTag is in my left and my phone in my right pocket. Imagine you are in a meeting and the Key Finder starts making noise just because the connection is lost. Moreover, it seems like the App always crashes and reloads when I open it after doing something else (e.g. facebook). This would explain why it loses the connection and why the button on the key finder can't be used in 90%. I programmed it in a way that the phone says the time when I hit the button. This works when I just opened the app and lock my phone. But when the app is open in the background, I do something else and lock the phone again, it won't work.I don't know if it is because of iOS 8.3, maybe they'll release a update for the app.Concerning Beets BLU support, I opened a ticket on their website and tried to contact them regarding a hardware problem of my second Beets BLU. For some reason, it always says "Your account is blocked" when I try to login and check if they've answered it (I noticed that you guys check the amazon reviews from time to tome, maybe you can fix that?).

Handy device
I received this product to review. All opinions are 100% honest and my own.I got this neat little device for my step-daughter. She looses her keys, phone or handbag several times a day. I set it up on my phone first and it was really easy. I like that there are a few different sounds to choose from but only when the finder is looking for your phone. It doesn't have the variety of sounds when looking for the tracker itself. But I guess that would make it bigger and more expensive. My step-daughter reports that she likes the wireless key finder and her daughter makes a game of hiding and then finding my step-daughters keys. Entertainment for everyone.

No more lost...only found!
This was actually a pretty cool idea! My oldest 2 children loose their keys, cell phones, wallets and more. My son went online and attached this to his phone for his wallet. Just slip this device in your wallet, purse, cell phone case, onto your keychain. You can go into the "app" site and it will ring an alarm so that you can find your missing item. You can buy multiple key fobs. This is great for bigger families. Everyone can have the Pager tag. These are not that expensive. It will definitely save you time in the morning on the way out the door if you have set your keys down somewhere while getting ready!ALL comments and opinions are my own. I was not persuaded by receiving this item for free.

A great tool for misplaced belongings!
I never knew how much I needed this until I got it. It's an easy app download, bluetooth set up and ready to use. You can attach it to your keys (my personal need) and turn the app on to find it. The alert sound isn't annoying and makes it easy to find, but wouldn't be obnoxious in a public area. It's fantastic if you are easily misplacing things that it can be attached to! You will need to have a key chain of some sort to add it to. It's extremely lightweight so it will not add any bulk to a keychain. I actually forget that it is attached to mine because of how small and light it is. It could easily be placed inside of a glasses case or inside a handbag. I received this from Beets, but plan on purchasing additional as gifts for people whom I know that could definitely use this!

Failed on both iPhone and Galaxy
When this thing works, it is fantastic. You can get the tag to beep from the phone. You can have the phone beep by pressing the button on the tag. Either one will beep when you have left the other one behind. Great right? Unfortunately this thing rarely works.1. The tag loses connection with the phone CONSTANTLY. Longest I have had it stay connected is about a week. usually loses within a matter of days.2. Annoying alarm sounds when connection is lost and cannot be turned off. There seems to be an option to turn this off in the app which does nothing. Confirming you have received the lost connection notification does nothing as you will receive another alarm in about 2 minutes even if connection is not reestablished.3. You must reset the pairing every time connection is lost. This entails pulling out the battery from the tag and setting up the process again. Not too hard but annoying considering I have much cheaper bluetooth devices which never seem to require this.I tried this originally on my iPhone 6 on iOS 8 and frustratingly gave this to my dad to use with his Galaxy S5 running the latest Android version as of July 2015. BOTH devices experienced the same exact problems.I wanted to give it a single star but because it was so useful in the limited time it worked I bumped it to two. I have hopes that an overhaul of their app will fix these issues, but I cannot recommend this product at all until that happens.

Where's my wallet? Not a problem any more
I'm a notorious wallet loser. My kids get tired of me saying, "where's my wallet?" I used this pager tag to remedy that. What a huge difference! The experience has made me much better at keeping track of my wallet. In those times that I regress, though, I'm awfully glad to have the wireless key finder to help me.

Life Saver
Life saver. I am ALWAYS misplacing my keys and with only 1 that will actually start my van I'm always panicked when I can't find them. This has given me piece of mind.

Useless
Huge list of completely unrelated Android privileges make this totally useless to me.

I was so pleased at how easy it was to use
So ask my husband the thing I lose the most are my keys. Between my putting them down in odd places to my toddler deciding they are a toy and wandering off with them. I seem to lose them all the time. Having this device is exactly what I need. I was so pleased at how easy it was to use. This device was tested very thoroughly by myself and my helpful toddler who helped hid the keys while I used the device to locate them. This might have been why I did notice the battery is a bit lower then I would have expected after only a week. But other then that, and being that it is probably our fault, I would highly recommend this product to anyone.Disclosure: I was provided a device to review on my blog in exchange to give my honest opinion of this device.

Best I have found so far
I have two of these linked to an LG G4. They both work as advertised. The application uses almost no battery. By contrast, another smart tag I have tried was running down the battery by 40% in 16 hours on its own. I use one of them as a key for my phone so I can use it without the need to enter a code frequently. I don't like fingerprint readers on principle, whereas a discreet hidden tag which causes the phone to lock when it goes out of range seems a good security system, especially when using Android Pay.So far battery life looks like being months and the one time connection was lost it was restored by turning bluetooth off and on again.

A Great Gadget for the Forgetful and Useful Remote Control for Your Phone
Please note - Beets Blu sent me the PagerTag at no cost for review. I regularly write for a gadget blog and this is my honest opinion. The PagerTag is a gadget solution for the kind of person for whom searching for their keys is a painfully regular part of the daily routine. The idea is that you attach a PagerTag to each item that you want to keep close and it works with an app on your smartphone to provide alerts when the tag moves out of your proximity. Good use-cases include attaching it to your keys, or stowing it in your wallet, which is what I’ve been doing. I can also imagine it would be useful when collecting luggage when on holiday. All those suitcases look the same, but a PagerTag inside yours will let you know when it comes out on the airport conveyor or whatever. These sorts of gadgets have been made possible with the latest version of Bluetooth, which is version 4 and geo-location on smartphones. The PagerTag should run for months on the supplied cr2025 cell battery and it will work with any Android phone that has Bluetooth 4 onboard or any iPhone from the 4S onwards. I tested with a Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge.Setup was simple. There’s a QR code on the box, which takes you to the App Store, where you can download the free ‘PagerTag’ app - although it’s easy enough to find with a search too. Once installed, the app scans for any PagerTags nearby and lists them. You simply tap on the one you want to connect to and it will do the rest. Now connected, there plenty of settings you can play with. Starting with alerts, you can have the phone or app, or indeed the phone and app sound an alarm when the PagerTag (and therefore, your keys, wallet or whatever) have moved out of range. Outdoors, the range is about 10m, but indoors that can be reduced depending on the building you’re in. If you don’t want to have an alarm set, perhaps because the PagerTag is going on luggage, then you can also set an alert for when it comes back into range and a signal strength meter will show you when it’s getting close. If you’re hunting for a missing item, the app will also show you on the map the last location that it was seen, which is quite cool.If that were all the PagerTag did, then I can see it being a gadget that you hope you’ll never use - put it on your keys and forget about it, but I was quite pleased to see that Beets Blu have given it a trick or two.The button on the front is programmable. You can have a short press or long press perform different functions and some of them are really useful. For example, you can have the PagerTag start and stop your music playback without having to pull out your phone. Alternatively, you can use it as a remote shutter button for your camera or start audio recordings. This is a nice value-add that gives the PagerTag regular usefulness as well as being that in-case-of-emergency gadget that you’ll not think about most of the time. There’s not a lot to criticise. I’d like to be able to set the volume of the alarm on the tag itself, in most cases it’s fine, but in noisy environments, I’d like it to be able to compete. There’s also the question of how much the range is affected in different buildings and environments, but it’s definitely a good fit for things you want to keep really close like your keys and wallet/bag. Finally, you should note that if the PagerTag restarts itself, then you need to restart the phone app yourself, but the app will warn you if this happens. The PagerTag is a neat solution for the forgetful, that for the price, could save you from losing something much more valuable. It works well and the value-add as a bluetooth remote control for the smartphone means I’ll be using mine quite regularly.

Wonderful idea!
I received my Beets BLUE key finder after a speedy post delivery and had it attached to my key and working within a couple of minutes. I tried it on both a Sony Xperia Z3 and an iPhone 6 and both apps were easy to find on their respective stores. You just slide in the battery and pair the key finder to your phone, a process that takes no more than a few seconds.I could see why some people might have a problem with inserting the battery, as I inserted it backwards on my first try, but not at all due to a design fault. The sound emitted is fairly high, and it would be easy to find its source if you were anywhere close to it.In conclusion, a fast delivery for a product which does exactly what it’s supposed to do, and is extremely easy to pair with your phone and use.

A clever little product
As a forgetful person, this type of thing always appeals to me. With modern bluetooth technology and a range of alarms it's far less annoying than a whistling thing when you lose your keys. I chose the rooster. Once you've downloaded the app onto your iOS or Android phone it's relatively simple to set up and can be attached to a wide range of things such as luggage, purse, briefcase etc. I knocked a star off because the battery on my phone did drain rather quickly but I do have the oldest model of iphone that the PagerTag can support. All in all a clever little product.
