I’ve been using Xtreme Cichlid Peewee 1.5 mm Pellets for a few weeks now, and I am thoroughly impressed with this product! Here’s why I’m giving it a 5-star review: 1. I originally bought this years ago as it was a recommendation from Cichlid Bros on YouTube. I've used Xtreme for about three years now and tested some other brands such as NLS and Northfin. My fish do eat Northfin but if there is one food that every single fish even the most finicky would eat, it's Xtreme. Even my Blue Eyed Lemon Pleco goes for the pellets and has put on size. I don't even have to buy food specially for him because he immediately comes out just for the pellets! Every fish I have kept has put on healthy weight, good size and amazing colors because of this food. Think of a well balanced meal all in one pellet. The flakes are also a hit and I've raised some healthy looking Severums on their Spriulina flakes and everyone goes insane for the Krill flakes. They splash water out the tank when I open the lid and am about to feed them, that's how crazy they get when it comes to this food! Even as a brand they are actual professionals in the Fish keeping world. Florida Exotic Fish Sales are the makers of Xtreme and they are one of the biggest breeders of African Cichlids and Tropical Fish in the United States. Their fish are some of the highest qaulity and when they were asked what they feed the fish so many times they decided to make Xtreme Aquatics. It's nice to see a brand that designs products that they actively use. This food also does not cloud up my water at all or spike any parameters or give the water any smell. Oddly enough the smell of the pellets remind me of Peanuts. Excellent food from a excellent brand! There are some QA issues with a pellet or two but nothing to be considered about!

A little on the expensive side, but my mbuna love it! The older size is perfect and the nutritional value is great for a 'dry' food. It is a bit on the expensive side, but it's worth it to see the vitality and vivid colors of the fish. I also like that its slower sinking than many other pellets - This allows my fish to consume it before it gets lost in the substrate. As a result, there's little to no food waste and I have no worries of it fouling the water.

My african cichlids love this stuff - not just the peacocks and haps, but the mbuma love it too. No bloat issues from the mbuna eating it so far, and they've been eating it for almost a year now.

I have a mixed Mbuna tank and was looking for a great food when they were only just a little bigger than a quarter, they loved this food and I still feed it to them today, Its funny, they will splash the water in excitement when I feed them, they get so excited. Absolutely amazing fish food.

I keep Geophagus Altifrons, Red Head Topajos, Green Severums, Eb Acaras, Heckelii, Colombian tetras, German Rams, Bolivian Rams and Satanoperca Juruupari/Leucostica. All are medium to large for their breed. A few over 10” without filaments. 300 gallons. All love this food. The Geos all bottom feed so the fast sinking isn’t an issue. But everyone else that doesn’t bottom feed loves them too and nobody ever seems to be lacking enough food. The best part of this food is it doesn’t cloud the water. Best indicator of how much they like it is I will cycle them on and off this food every couple weeks and give them live chopped earthworms, which is like medium rare filet mignon to the fish. But when I switch back this is the only food they’ll immediately eat and don’t starve themselves waiting for the worms. And they ALL breed pretty much non stop so I take that as a sign they’re somewhat pleased.

My Electric Blue Acara and Albino Heckelie LOVE !!! this food. They were extremely picky prior to me purchasing this and now they look for it to enter the tank during feedings. They have become more active in the tank and more attentive when I am near the tank. Great choice for Cichlids.
