I like that it uses AA batteries. Like that it has a bar graph that makes it easy to read. I like that its small enough to fit in my coat pocket. When looking for a spot on the ice I can check depths without drilling. Just dump out a little water on the ice. Put transducer on and get a depth. I walk around my area dumping water and getting reading of the bottom. Helps finds drop offs and such. While fishing cloudy water I can't see my jig. I put transducer down the hole and watch bar graph. Jig shows up as a small line and reacts to real time movements. When another line appears get ready. When bars merge usually its a fish and wait for the bite. No more wondering if they are swimming by. They will show up and you can drop or raise jig to target. Don't always use. But is a great tool that fits in your pocket and easy to use.

This is a great unit if you want to start ice fishing but don't want to spend $400 - &500 on a flasher. This unit paired with the powerpak is light, has a long battery life & picks up on the tiny jigs.

Having only used a few times last year, realized how easy is too use , and very sensitive, i know that it will come in handy to find more fish in future

now this is the tool that ya need. i glued a pvc fitting to the bottom of my canoe and use it thru the hull too, and icefishing.

My husband doesn't go ice fishing any more without his showdown. And any one he shows it too wants one. He highly recommends this item.

This shows the depth, shows your jig, and shows fish. Everything I wanted and a few hundred dollars cheaper then the other flashers. This thing is AWESOME!! No problems whatsoever!
