Good radio with a few Cons
I purchased this head unit because it had Android Auto and Apple Carplay. So far I have been pleased with the radio. The sound is very clear, the touch screen is responsive, and the settings are easy to navigate.Pros:- easy to install- works great for Android Auto and Carplay- good sound qualityCons:- the USB is ONLY on the back- I installed a replacement cigarette lighter USB to solve this- USB can only connect to a single input- Even though the input from the cigarette lighter USB only connects to 1 data input, the power draw causes the radio firmware to crash- Poor NVM.- When you turn off the car and turn it back on, the radio stays on the same station, but the indicator for station number (1-6) always reverts back to 1.- More of an annoyance than anything- No volume knob. (Something I wish I had but purchased this without thinking about it).All in all, it is a good radio and I'm pleased with it. Just a few minor issues.

Feature packed and Pioneer quality
I can't believe I spent this much money on an auto stereo. But when I use the back-up camera, link my phone via Android Auto, use the navigation apps, I realize why I spent that money. I've had four Pioneer radios in my past vehicles and they never fail to deliver. Naturally I gravitated to Pioneer when I replaced the single DIN unit in my current truck. Although I looked at JVC and other brands when deciding what to install as a replacement, I recalled that I was replacing a JVC unit that came with the truck. I never liked the unit, it wasn't intuitive, and it was just falling apart. I have been satisfied with my purchase and can recommend this as a solid head unit for your sound system. A word to the wise: there are tons of options out there but most lack a CD/DVD player. I was on the fence over this feature since smartphones store insane amounts of music and then there is XM Radio and other streaming features. But the first time I bought a CD in a thrift store and plugged it in before driving away, I felt vindicated in choosing this model.

Perfect if you have to share your car
Works great with either android or iphone, get the cable they recommend. Great built in power, plus plenty of rca outputs. Best eq with great adjustments to perfect your sound. If you have to share the car the radio doesn’t store your phone info. If you take screenshots on your phone it’ll take one of the radio too. DVD player is nice since you can’t play videos from your phone ( but I think you can from a usb , I haven’t tried). Navigation works great. Does more than I need, would definitely put this or one like it in another car

Perfect Upgrade for my 2005 Yukon.. USB fix if you are having issues. Just read my review.
I finally decided to upgrade the factory Radio in my 2005 GMC yukon with this Pioneer AVH-2500NEX.. The radio far exceeded what I expected. It made me ENJOY riding to work.. It was not as hard as I thought to install. All I needed was to watch a couple of Youtube Videos and follow directions. The only real issue I had was that I was unable to get the USB to play anything.. So I went to the Pioneer web page to see if they had a update for the unit and I read where the USB stick had to be formatted to FAT32. Again I went back to Youtube and leaned how to format my 128gb flash drive to FAT32, Again I follow the directions. After Formating the flash drive I put 9 movies on the drive and they all played perfectly.. So if you are having issues where it says "unreadable file" or "device not supported", format the the Flash drive to "FAT32" and the Issue should be solved... This radio is packed with GREAT options and is well worth buying.

Awesome unit with a bit of a learning curve
I’ve always had (and been happy with) Pioneer decks. Decided to finally update to a double DIN with Apple Car Play and am very happy I did.1st off, I’m using this almost exclusively with my iPhone via Apple car play. I can’t comment at all on its Android Auto functionality. As far as the other sources, yep, it plays cds / dvds, HD radio, among other sources. They work well as expected. The ONLY reason I’m giving this 4 stars is because the instruction manual is pretty bare regarding the user interface. I thought that since I’ve always had Pioneers I’d pick it up quick, but it took some time. To buyers I’d simply recommend this: use it for a week and it’ll all make sense. Once you’ve used it for a bit it’s all pretty intuitive. The touchscreen is awesome. I was concerned because it wasn’t a capacitive screen, but those concerns were laid to rest in minutes. It works great. It isn’t like the old touch screens of the 2000’s phones. No complaints.I can’t comment on the internal amp as I’m running all external amps for all six channels. The 6 channel pre-outs all work great like all my old Pioneers, with fading/balance controls, etc...The audio tweaking controls are all top notch. I’d list all the features but I’m satisfied and you can read about them. The high pass / low pass filters and sub controls are super helpful if you’re running external amps. The voice control via car play with iPhone is phenomenal if you’ve never used it. Calls are easy. Texts are read out to you and you dictate your response. No need to take your eyes off the road. The way navigation integrates via CarPlay is awesome. You can dictate via the mic, you get pop up notifications if you don’t wanna stare at the map, and more. You can also use other nav apps like google or Waze (my favorite) seamlessly. The displays, backgrounds and illuminations are also nice. All in all, if you’ve got an iPhone and want to upgrade to a very nice car play unit, I’d absolutely recommend this. Just give yourself a few days to learn it.FWIW: I paid about $310 for this on Amazon. The Pioneer unit I replaced (which was very nice for its time) cost me about $350 around 8 years ago, and this is a hundred times nicer. Treat yourself to something modern. I’m glad I did.

Really worth the money
Wow this is a very nice double din, nice quality, screen is clear, touch screen works very well and accurate to what I want to touch, no lag whatsoever, has a backup port for reverse camera, I also added a av to hdmi cable so I can have my iphone mirror linked to the screen to watch Netflix and YouTube.
