Good camera
Have had it for only a few days, but so far so good. I bought this one after having some problems with a similar one. Several companies utilize the same hardware (look around Amazon, you'll be able to tell) and sell the cameras for between $200 and $315 or so. The hardware is great. It is heavyish and built well. Weather resistant. The night vision is clear and good for about 40 feet. I haven't used Wi-Fi with this one, as I'm using Ethernet.Where this one shines and the others fail is the software. They all have a similar internet interface to control the camera. It is functional and pretty easy to learn. The addition of the cloud software that this one has and the others lack is the difference. The mere fact you can record to the cloud via a free account with NetCamPro is a big plus. I especially like the feature where you can quickly see clips of the activity so you don't need to go through every video.Hint: if you will go back to the camera's IP page often to adjust settings, set your camera up with a static IP address. Otherwise the address will be different every time you go back to it, so you can't bookmark it.Why I took off one star:- Price: It is $75 too expensive in my opinion.- Lack of documentation. There is a cd-rom with a manual on it, but even that isn't great. A booklet you can hold in your hand with detailed instructions and descriptions (like Trivision does) would be better.- It doesn't come with a weatherproof box to house the near-camera connections like a couple of the other brand names that use similar hardware do. Especially at this price point, one should be included.- An 8GB card being included is nice, but that amount of memory is pretty much useless. It should be at least 16, especially with how inexpensive memory is (a 64GB can be had on Amazon for about $20) and the price point of this camera.Overall it does a great job, so far, and has nice features. The software could be improved but is the best out there for cameras with hardware of this quality anywhere near this price range.

Works as advertised but free cloud storage is limited in bad weather
The camera was relatively expensive compared to the rest of the class but I bought it because it came with full featured software which included free cloud storage, 1000 files, for the life of camera. That added an important value to the service for my intended use, which includes monitoring my property and vehicles. I am a computer administrator/network engineer by trade and I figured out how to set it up through my knowledge and work experience. Updating review to 4 stars. Post purchase support has been exceptional and the camera has worked flawlessly since I got through the initial hardware and set up issues.Install: C -The provided instructions did not work well at all. I scanned the QR Reader code as instructed and nothing happened. Support told me replying to this review that this was due to not installing the mobile app on the same phone. I think clear concise instructions would cover a lot of the problems I ran into. I'm all for saving the environment as well, but in that case publish a PDF file I can download and follow. The positive is that there are options for Mac users, you can use your mobile phone to set the phone up apparently, which I did not know at the time so I had to do a manual set up using a PC. I assigned it a static reserved IP address to the camera and configured the basic settings. However once I got the camera working on my LAN with my PC I needed to call support to get into the cloud since I never got my password and log on information to the cloud account. Once I logged on successfully they directed me to a simple setup wizard on the website that worked well. You just backup your config locally, run the cloud based wizard on their website to generate a new configuration in cloud mode, and then then download and import that new config into the camera from your PC and your good to go. So once i got through the set up, I tested it indoors, and it seemed to be working fine, or so I first thought because i was getting recorded video in the cloud and had no issues connecting from my PC locally. So AFTER it was mounted and installed and I needed a ladder to work on it again suddenly none of the data I was recording was going to the cloud. Even worse there was also no copy of the recorded data on the local storage microSD card. So I called their support again and they told me to test a bunch of stuff that passed. That left the memory card and sure enough it had failed on arrival because I never saw any files stored locally, even when it was "working" indoors. They explained that sometimes they get jarred loose in shipping, but re-seating it did not help. They were going to make me ship them the camera back for service, so I just tried a new memory card (with their approval and instructions) and it worked. They told me they would not reimburse me for the card and I had to pay for it out of pocket or pay to ship the camera back to them for a warranty replacement. UPDATE: Company contacted me and offered to refund the amount I paid for the replacement micro SD card, which was greatly appreciated.Performance: BIt's OK but with streaming especially to the cloud it's not going to be in HD otherwise it would fill the storage up in no time and kill their bandwidth. I'd give it a B for picture quality in cloud mode you could make out a face for evidence. The motion detection works very well, and has zones that allow you to adjust different sensitivity settings which can be handy for some. I found that with any inclement weather like rain or snow, it is constantly recording no matter how low you set the sensitivity. That is a problem if your using the default 1000 file cloud storage because it fills up in less than 5 hours and starts overwriting itself. Not good unless you download the footage from the cloud every few hours during bad weather to make sure you don't miss anything important. Of course in that case you could pay for more storage, but that would defeat the value of this camera in the first place. The price to upgrade is fairly reasonable, for 10 times the storage you pay 50$ annually.Night vision is good, but it does not cover the entire viewing angle of the lens, with that said it does work very well in the immediate 30 foot range in front of the camera about 40% of the width of the total view.Features: AHas the most features of any camerea I found it it's class. Such as PPOE, Microphone, free cloud storage, included and 8Gb micro sd card that can be upgraded to 32Mb, All weather lens and night vision. (Keep in mind this does you no good in cloud mode, only when your using local storage)Reliability: COnce I replaced the defective factory micro sd card it has worked well. In fact it survived a historical blizzard that just came through the Northeastern USA in January 2016 and hit my state of Pennsylvania rather hard. It's worked reliably in gale force wind gusts, 22" of snow fall, rain, hail sleet and has not missed a beat. Now keep in mind, it triggers the motion detection, so with the default factory storage limit, I only got 4-6 hours of coverage in inclement weather. I can't stress that enough, I wish I would have known that before I purchased this. I also wish the management there would consider buying higher quality parts for the memory card with this price range. UPDATE: They wrote me telling me they do take feedback such as this into consideration in the future, so they may improve in this area. In all fairness hardware failures happen and are not in their control.Support: ALimited hours, but they were prompt to call me back, the gentleman was friendly, very knowledgeable and stood by the product. They helped me get it set up, and they helped me fix it when it went bad. On the other hand, I do feel they should have offered to ship me a replacement for the defective memory card that shipped with it. They also contacted me after reading this review and refunded my memory card purchase and offered to take the feedback into future consideration. They do seem like a company striving to improve and they do offer a quality camera that they stand by.

AVOID THIS COMPANY AND ITS PRODUCTS
The software for the cam is horrible, dysfunctional, counter-intuitive and the customer support just isn't there. Sometimes it records to the cloud but not to the internal card, and sometimes to the card and not to the cloud. The documentation on netcampro.com is happy and breezy but certainly doesn't cover the many difficulties that occur during setup and attempted use. I emailed netcampro support to ask a question and have not received any response, and their site has been offline for 3 days so the documentation I was using is no longer accessible. It's a fine security cam if you're looking for live real time view and it appears to be weather worthy, but the motion detection is VERY poor and the local and cloud interface makes for clunky and laborious review of recordings.Very frustrating to struggle with poorly designed software and UI that renders this hardware useless. I so seriously regret wasting my money on this webcam.
