I used these straps to pull and hold glued hardwood tongue & groove flooring together.

The ratchet part is not very good. Spend a little more if you need to use them on more than one floor.

Pops off when applying pressure. Needs to down over tongue of flooring. Have to lift it up just to pull on the top edge of board.

I used it on a glue down hardwood floors!

I used these straps to help keep parquet hardwood flooring where it was supposed to be. This was a glue down installation that I did in stages and I used the straps as I went to help keep things tight. I did have to be careful not to tighten the ratchets to far or it would pull up my wood pieces on one end, but with the right amount of force and pressure on top of the pieces it all worked just fine.The straps themselves seem to be of good quality, came pre-threaded (which is great because I always seem to get ratchet straps backwards) and seemed plenty durable. Not sure how they would hold up to heavy use, but for the average homeowner laying down new flooring these seem to work quite well.

These clamps work well for installing wooden floors, but they aren’t as secure as other clamps. I found that when I just needed pressure to tighten the joints, they worked great. However, if I needed a little more pressure to close a slight warp in the wood, they would fly off damaging the wood edges.

Used to install a floating engineered wood floor that was being tongue glued. Helps pull stubborn joints tight so it stays straight as you lay it. At 16’ they were a little shorter than my widest room but got by because the first sixteen feet was very straight. We did one of the large rooms before we bought them and it was a bit of effort to keep them straight. Very easy on the next room with the use of the straps.

After laying approximately 1500 square feet of hardwood flooring we can say these Clamps are very easy to work with. Maybe the lip of the clamp could be a bit longer, but other than that they work very well.

Straps work well and seem sturdy. Make sure you weigh down the floor if you are cranking the ratchet mechanism.
