Great substrate option
It’s hard to clean quickly, but it holds up pretty well if you don’t use too much liquid and go carefully. I like the rough texture. It unrolled pretty easily and was easy to install.

Nice idea
The idea of this is nice, but the practicality of it isn't. It's very difficult to clean, the backing cracks, and the texture falls off.

Fits a little big.
I have a 40 breeder which this fits but it is a little big preventing it from laying flat... I will have to trim them.

My Beardie love it, I do not.
I’m giving this a 3 star only because my beardie, Gwen, loves it. And I love listening to her little feet patter back and forth. What I don’t love, the cleaning. If you clean poop off of it, make sure not to use too much water as the rocks are just glued on and they’ll all fall off. As soon as I took it out of the box, all the rocks started falling everywhere. Not good quality, but Gwen loves it so I deal with the mess.

Looks awesome
Looks awesome but the second it gets wet all the sand comes off and your left with a what feels and looks like a rubber mat and a big mess of sand not worth the money I wouldn't even buy this again at a pet store...

Good mat for bearded dragon
Bought this for my daughter's bearded dragon. It's really good quality and looks really cool. Only this is its hard to clean it and get everything. When you actually wash it with the water hose a lot of the rocks come off. Great mat but I think I like the other alternatives.

Looks Nd works greatn
The media could not be loaded. This thing is awesome. When we got a baby bearded dragon we did not want to start him off on a sand substrate right away, but we absolutely hate carpet and paper towel options. A lot of people use tile but we really like the natural look of sand so although these are a little on the pricey end we bought one and love it! They're easy to clean unless you're Beardie is having wet poops, and look great!they're VERY Duran soninseenit being worth the cost. There's no chance for your Beardie to get tangled in it (like carpet) or ingest it. And it holds warmth well

Could be great
Could have been great! But it’s not. The material is covered in rocks glued to it which I knew. What I was expecting was to be able to clean it. Just wiping up with a paper towel my bearded dragons poop wiped off rocks. Then when it finally got to where I would have to clean it outside of spot cleaning it just all came apart. 01 out of 10 do not recommend unless you buy a new one weekly

Needs to be left to ventilate before use
I was sceptical about buying this after reading a previous negative review. I have now been using the Sand Mat on the shelf in my adult bearded dragon's vivarium for a month and I am very happy with it.As another reviewer pointed out - when it first arrived there was a terrible smell of glue - however I left it in my conservatory for around a week and the smell had completely gone (this was during a warm week in June and the room is very well ventilated - I think it may take longer in different situations). I suspect that Exo Terra are boxing them and shipping before the glue is fully dry and this is causing the strong smell. The sand mat is very rough and had small stones stuck to it, I would probably not use this for very small or young reptiles as I have noticed that some of the small stones have fallen off (could be a risk of ingestion and impaction in very small or young animals) and also it feels quite sharp in places (like natural rock).I really like this product and would recommend it if you have multiple levels in your vivarium. But remember to leave it to air for a while before use!

Not great for reptiles - loose substrate
The mat has terrible quality where all the sand and pepples/stones will just fall off. More than half of the texture fell off just rolling the mat out flat. Horrible mess everywhere and if it was put it with a reptile they would probably eat the texture during feeds and there is no way the size of some of the loose pebbles will be able to be passed by your reptile. Not worth it! Stay away from it.

Not happy at all
Purchased this item as I'm looking to change the substrate for my beardie, once I recieved the item the overwhelming stench of chemicals was enough to put me off using it. Reading a previous review I took it's advice to leave it to air out, even after 48 Hours the smell of chemicals was still there, not too keen on using this for my beardie as i dont feel like its a safe option due to the smell. Not happy at all.

Perfect
I absolutely love this, a little pricey but overall an amazing substrate for my leopard gecko. She can now dig and scratch at the mat while I am free of any worries about impaction. A perfect product for a gecko owner!
