The Vintage Book of African American Poetry

I love the depth and scope of this book. You probably won't like every piece in this book, but you'll probably find a few you love. And maybe some poets you hadn't really enjoyed before. I dog eared this book to death.

This book here, even though I have not read all the poems in it, is a strong and courageous book of poems by great artists (as it say) of struggle, romance, strength etc. However, it is inspiring and intriguing to read. I enjoy reading these poems of truth and justice.

Was a gift for my daughters great grandmother (88) who is an award winning educator on the east side of pittsburgh. She recvd the gift and it brought tears to her eyes that she was able to have an anthology of noted poets in an easy to hold and read book!

Great book, and came in looking exactly like it was described.

This book is an excellent collection of African American Poetry. It is filled with classics and lesser known poems. I am truly enjoying this collection !!
