The Noble Collection The Da Vinci Code Cryptex

My son loves a good challenge and he and his whole family loved this Cryptex. You should have seen his eyes light up. My son is also a big fan of the Da Vinci Code. I saw the smaller cryptex being sold, but I couldn't resist getting him the exact movie replica. It's very heavy and well made. It was so worth it for us. So very cool.

Almost exactly what I was expecting. Nice weight! Seems well built! Very Nice! The only criticism is they should have included a Glass vile to Complete the idea from the movie

This is the best replica Cryptex prop available, A+.Full sizeHeavy - surprisingly hefty when you pick it up. This Cryptex is solid and weighty; it is made of brass, I believe. As other reviewers noted, the only dis-satisfaction I have is the lack of "click" or "snap" into place for the rings. They seem a bit loose and sloppy, and are easily moved just out of alignment enough not to open if one is not careful to hold them in place. The little box is nicely made as well, and the Cryptex slips perfectly onto the slings that hold it in place.

Product is good, but for the price the craftmanship isn't great. Better than most though, but could be improved. The alphabet rings are slightly faded in some places and little bits of ink are almost gone in others. They are plastic, was hoping for metal or marble or something stronger. Not too noticeable though. The one I received came with a small chip in the paint of one of the the brass caps and peeled off leaving a small dark spot on the brass finish. Very small but once again could be better. As far as the wooden box, that needs the most improvement. Not true to the movie and also the design between the top and bottom halves did not align well. The rose doesn't come off and the wood feels very thin but protects the cryptex well.

I love this cryptex. My only source of feedback is that it's not 100% like the movie/book. I wish that instead of the rose emblem on the front being magnetic it would fit in naturally to the wood so it's flush and that there is a little hole on the inside so you can poke it out and read the backwards inscription on it. As I said to many people about companies that try and call something a Movie Replica! In order to be called a movie Replica it should look and work as the Original did in the movie! Not just look like it because then it just a modified version of the Original. So the Cryptex is definitely a modified version of the Original, I wouldn't call it a Replica! Since the dials are plastic and there is no glass vial inside. Then to top off the flower doesn't even come out. That right there is just poor judgment when the craft it. They did a beautiful job up to that point, yes they could have done few things differently but to leave out such a important peice as that. Buyers would have had personal engraving done for gifts ect. To be honest that's why I purchased it because I wanted to have that peice engraved but not now! They need to definitely get a better design team and start listening to your customer because if your going to charge $200 for this THEN AT LEAST GIVE THE CUSTOMERS WHAT YOUR DESCRIPTION SAYS IT IS..."A MOVIE REPLICA" BECAUSE THIS ISN'T A REPLICA ITS A GOOD TRY BUT LETS CALL IT MODIFIED MOVIE VERSION!

Little pricey for what it is. But I’ve always wanted one since the movie came out
