Great book
This book and the included Mp3 downloads (comes with a code for a website to download from) have helped my medical studies so far. I wish I had this for the first two sections. I am a first year medical student and the chapters are organized by body systems, which is the same as my curriculum. There are short, individual chapters for the book and audio portions, which makes finding specific topics easy. I listen to each section a few times and eventually try to answer the questions before the other person on the audio responds. There are diagrams in some of the chapters to aid in understanding of the drug mechanisms. The book is small enough to fit in a purse or small handbag. It is well worth the price.

This is the best Pharmacology Review book without exception
Pharmacology Recall (Recall (Wolters Kluwer)) This small book is worth far more than it's price. It's well-written and can get your up to speed in pharmacology review very quickly. The Power Review in the back of the book is well worth the price of the book alone but coupled with the material in the chapters, it's a "must-have" for USMLE review. The chapters are written the the Recall series question-format which means that you can cover the answers for self-study and mastery. The material is organized in pharmaceutical class format with any exceptions to class behavior fully explained. The only drawback of this book would be the lack of trade names but coupled with on line lookup, you can easily fill in the trade names. I used a previous edition of this book when I was a medical student and found that I wanted the latest edition for my home medical library. This is an excellent resource to read and re-read on a regular basis which can be easily accomplished in a couple of settings.

Great companion to FA
Probably one of the better Recall books in the series. The book comes with audio, so it's great when you have long drives or are at the gym.Used this with my medical school courses, found it to be a great supplement to FA and the Katzung Text. Hits most of the high yields and does a great job with format.Biggest gripe is, because pharmacology is the most rapidly changing subjects in the field of medicine, and even more so in medical school, I find that this book needs updating. A lot of the drugs in a few of the chapters are no longer used, and there are newer drugs that have replaced the previous DOC.Overall, great book, but needs updating. (Seems like a common problem for the Recall series)

A great book for exam prepapration
Bought this book in used condition for my sister for revision and preparation for Pharmacology exam. This book is well laid out. It is easy to identify and learn content since it's right to the point as opposed to reading pages of notes in order to extract the main points. I highly recommend this for exam preparation. This assisted her in achieving a high grade in the course.

Pharmacology Recall
This book is great for does who find themselves drifting into space as you ream the big pharm books. It's very helpful in making sure that you pay attention to the most dire info about each drug through an answer and question format. I wish I had it earlier for my classes but I guess I'll just use it for my boards instead. And if you get bored while reading you can listen to the awesome audio files that comes with the book (it's online and you only have a year after activating the code to download the files). Actually the audio is kinda lame, the voices are of 2 professional announcers instead of 2 normal people...

Incredible for Med Pharm
I recommend this book for any medical student who likes quick reviews and is an auditory learner. It probably can't function on it's own without another resource - but it comes close. After going to lecture, I sometimes felt this is what book from which my professors were secretly teaching. It hits the high yield topics, points out those strange side effects, and makes connections with other topics if necessary. It's topics are divided similarly to Katzung & Trevor - so if you use that book, this makes an even better compliment. If you have a commute, or just need a break from reading - the audio files are a great resource and come free with the purchase of the paperback.

Great Study Buddy
Who needs a person to study with when your book asks you questions? This book is structured in a Q&A format. It also comes with the audio for the book. Simple and concise this book is a great study aid for anyone taking pharmacology. The book goes over adverse effects, drug kinetics. and general concepts plus more. I use this book along with "Pathophysiology Made Easy" to get a better idea of the whole picture.

Great book with bonus audio!
I hate books with dense text because I almost never finish reading them, nor will I remember anything that I've read even after 500+ repeat readings. This book is amazing. It reminds me of the Deja Review series which I love, so I am glad to find another of the same format.Bonus point: It comes with an MP3, perfect for me to review in the car. Besides, what other easier way to remember all the pharm crap other than audio?
