4GB RAM Is not enough for 4K Video play and HDMI Connection Issues.
So, I bought this computer for using it as a media center. Not to store any thing but to play it on my TV.First issue I had was with the connection. Doesn't matter what cable I'd use or which connection I'd use. When connected to my LG 4K TV the image just would show. It showed as connected. The image would extend from my monitor but nothing would show on the TV.I swapped every combination possible. Two HDMI outputs + 6 HDMI Cables + 4 HDMI ports on the TV. The problem would still happen. Any other device that I own has that problem with this TV. I have a 4K laptop and a PS4-Pro.If I connected only on the TV, using only one HDMI port, after a few restarts the image would show on it and I could use for a few days. But eventually it would go away and I had to keep restarting (holding the power button for a few seconds) until it would eventually show up again. If that wasn't enough, I also had issues with the general use in 4K.So The time it was working, If i used the resolution in 4K the video play part would be good. But to get there was painful. I kept task manager opened and paid attention to the ram usage. it was nearly 100% all the time. I though that the integrated SSD would be better used for sharing the load with the RAM (windows page file) BUT windows apparently disabled the feature because it was an SSD and I forgot to enable it for testing later.Opening videos was painful, minimizing, dragging the video window would freeze the image.Even youtube on Opera, Google chrome, Edge would show the same behavior. And I made sure that I had at leas 30GB free in the built in SSD.Once the video was playing, f you dint touch it. The video would play smoothly.Overheating was never a issue, CPU usage was never a issue, storage was never a issue. RAM is the only issue, and the fact that this is not expandable made me decide to return the item.
