English Grammar Workbook For Dummies, 2nd Edition

This book will help me alot. Can't wait to start reading / studying.

Perfect for sharpening your skills,! I gave it to one of my coworkers that need it to sharpen up their writing skills, after a few exercises I started to noticed the results. I recommend to make copies of some of the exercises (for educational purposes only) (try to get copy permissions) if you want to help out the person and you also need a copy to compared notes. Excellent, over all, I even bought the companion grammar book.

This has been very helpful to me. I am a writer and use Grammarly, but I want to be able to write without Grammarly. I may never have all the rules memorized, but it is getting easier to recognize the pitfalls and correct them before Grammarly does it. It is well written with a little humor and I love that Geraldine not only gives you the answers, but tells you why. I now realize I know more than I thought, but not as much as I want to know. Thanks Geraldine.

Started back to school for a degree & I've always been bad with English. This book is a great reference guide and very helpful. The only problem I have is where's the answers to the tests in the on-line version? Would be helpful but I've figured out some of the answers as I've progressed through class but I still use the book.

I adore the way that grammar is presented here. It is light-hearted and humorous, and makes an often horrendously dull subject totally manageable and even fun sometimes. I would highly recommend this for middle school, high school, or adult learners, both ESL/ELL and those who just need to brush up on their English. I use it with adult learners that I tutor.

I had the 1st edition. I really loved how easy and funny you can learn English with the book.

I am a professional tutor. Every student who wants to improve their grammar works in Geraldine's workbook. Get the workbook. It has exercises to write out. Geraldine is funny. Any teenager would enjoy at least some of her humor as she teaches the intricacies of the English rules of grammar!

The book seems helpful enough and is a good supplement for my son's middle school studies. However, the Kindle version completely lacks any links between questions/exercises and answers. That makes the electronic version much less useful than it would be otherwise.

As always, Workbook for Dummies great buy.

El libro viene completamente en inglés, Si estás preparando un examen, los primeros 2/3 del libro te servirán bien, vas a reirte con las situaciones que aparecen en los ejercicios, eso lo hace divertido, y vas a sufrir un poco y al mismo tiempo aprender más pues vienen muchas palabras no comunes. En resumen, vale la pena por los ejercicios. El tipo de papel es reciclado, para uso personal está bien.

Good resource

Dieses Grammar Workbook ist nicht mein Fall gewesen, da es sehr unübersichtlich gestaltet ist und die Papierqualität zu wünschen übrig lässt. Mehrmaliges Benutzen ist hier nicht möglich. Als Lernhilfe nicht besonders geeignet.

I like all the Dummies books. As an educator for many years, I have many of these Books . This is great for ESL students
