The PowerScore LSAT Logic Games Bible Workbook

Thorough
They offer a good system for addressing, diagramming, and solving LSAT Logic Games. The approach is solid and thorough with lots of examples and drills for developing skill. It does take time to go through this book and this is just one of a number of areas to cover in preparation for the LSAT.Two things would have made this perfect for me. I want to see the topic of the theory behind logic games analyzed more deeply -don't know how without going into fields of logic and probability and haven't seen it anywhere else; so, maybe it is too much to hope for. I would like to see a discussion about the probabilities for each answer according to the number and the complexity of variables. They talk about the average time one should spend on each problem but don't give range of time to allocate for more basic problems versus more complex ones; and don't have or give any research on how groups of people do or how long they take for different types of problems. This would help me in terms of knowing where to put more into study and knowing when it is time to just guess at an answer. Also, a small technical point is that they use ">" to mean 'ahead of' or 'comes before' in ordering items and I have trouble adjusting to my long standing habit of thinking of ">" as 'greater than' and "<" as 'less than' which means I have to be very careful about this each time I see it or use it.

Huge improvement in my LSAT score!
I highly recommend this workbook for anyone who is struggling with the Logic Games section of the LSAT. I bought the Powerscore Logic Games Bible and went through the entire book from start to finish, but still could only complete 2 out of the 4 games in each of my practice tests (my average score for the LG sections was 12-15, while I scored 20-24 on the LR and RC sections). About three weeks before the LSAT, I bought this Logic Games workbook as a last attempt to improve my Logic Games score. I started from the beginning and completed the entire workbook, drills and all. I began to notice an improvement when I got to the practice problems and by the time I completed the entire timed sections I was able to complete almost every question with 100% accuracy. When I took the actual LSAT (October 2011), I finished the entire Logic Games section and only missed one question - it turned out to be my best section! My final LSAT score was a 169 - about 9 points higher than my average practice test score before I bought this workbook! Because of my LSAT score, I received application fee waivers from over twenty law schools, which more than made up for the money I spent on the workbook. It is definitely worth the money if the LG section is something that you are having trouble with!

Good Practice!
I bought this book for more LG practice, especially after reading how pointless the "setup book" is!I would like to say that I never purchased the Set-up book so I can't attest to its worth. This workbook however is great, it is just more drills and games. It is necessary to first work through the logic games bible however in order to understand the explanations and general comments. The first half are drills, then there are 10 individual games then 5 "real LSAT sections" totaling 20 games for a grand total of 30 games! It is a must if you need additional help with the LG section and can benefit from seeing their setup and full explanation.

Great buy, highly recommend
I dreaded the Logic Games the first time I took the LSAT and did terribly on that section, but I picked up this book when I decided to give the exam another go. After reading so many great reviews, I gave it a try and by the end of it, I looked forward to doing more practice games - they are now my favorite section on the LSAT and I ace every one. The workbook is good to go with the Bible because it gives you the extra practice that is definitely necessary. The way to learn Logic Games is practice, practice, practice, and this book lets you do that.

Great Addition to Prep Arsenal
The PS method for LG is excellent, and so this book, like the Bible, is excellent. There is one caveat, however: the full-length practice sections at the end of the book will not provide you with an *optimal* assessment of your LG ability for the current iteration of the test. They are all from prep tests in the 40's, and 40's LG's are widely regarded as the easiest LG's among all the prep tests. The sections are also among the easiest LG sections in the 40's to boot. The most important consequence of this is that you will not get an idea of how you will perform on an above-average to well above-average difficulty logic games section by doing the practice sections at the end of this book, and this is very important in light of the fact that LG peformance is subject to very high volatility before you've mastered the section. But, all things being equal, this book is very good because the instruction and explanations are very good. Just don't gauge your ability for the LG section solely on the basis of the practice sections in the back.

Best prep I've seen so far.
If you have the logic games bible the workbook is the perfect companion. The key to doing well on the LSAT in my opinion is repetition. The more games you see the easier it will be to quickly tackle the games on the test. This is not a how to guide just more games with explanations. If you want a how to get the logic games bible as well as the logical reasoning bible and workbook. If you take your time ans practice you will see an improvement in your scores.

Just Bad.
Pls don't buy. This is just useless. The book is filled with blank spaces and huge font just to increase the number of pages. And the question are the exact ones from LSAT official preptest. For LSAT I suggest practicing with all the offical preptest and use the PowerScore bible for learning the methodology.

A helpful addition to the logic bible
I found this extremely helpful in refining the skills I learned in the logic bible. There are tons of explanations for questions so you really get a solid feel for their methods.
