KYB KG5464 Gas-a-Just Gas Shock

As a low to midrange price option, these shocks are an excellent option. My old shocks on my `96 XJ Cherokee were though not completely floppy (they resisted compression but would not re-expand as normal and I've been having massive nose diving under braking). After replacing just the fronts (time to do the work is an issue), I can say that they've made a massive difference. Braking is much better, handling is better, and the front rides much better too; though I do prefer a more "sporty" or "Euro" tuning to my suspension. For the price, I'd say that you can't do much better. My only caveat was the packaging I received was badly worn/damaged and I could have easily lost the hardware from it. Everything worked fine though. Anyway, if you're looking for a budget shock, they're a great option and only take a few minutes on an XJ. I didn't even need to remove the wheels and I took around 1.5 hours including getting out tools.

we did a set last year for our 4 inch lift durango. ( different part number KYB) but these worked great on our 1995 Jeep we just bought with factory 2 inch lift.. Stiff ride til they get miles on them . But our dodge rides great..

The shocks returned my 1990 Jeep Comanche to peak performance. I was having a bottoming out issue in dips and the extra dampening force from these KYB's fixed that problem. They are not firm but not harsh and do a great job of absorbing large dips/bumps. Unfortunately, one of my shocks did not include the mounting hardware for the upper strut mount so I had to reuse the old one. Otherwise, I am satisfied with the way these improved handling and ride.

KYB is the only brand I will purchase they work better then any of the competitions .What's gets me in all the years past the big three other manufactures had the opportunity to manufacture a part that gives long time service at a reasonable price , and blew it .KYB a fairly new company in years compared to the others stepped up to the plate and is giving us a excellent product. So be it KYB got my attention.

Great replacement for factory shocks on a 1996 Jeep Cherokee. Good ride quality and reasonable price.

Quick and accurate

Very nice product. Gave my cherokee 2 inch lift. Were very stiff the first couple of weeks. handling is much better and ride is much smoother. Arrived on time. I would recommend these to freinds.

Used them on my 1998 jeep grand Cherokee limited 5.2l. Easy install and great price great kyb quality. Came early and were the right parts the first time.

Boxes, I bought several, Front and Back, and none had new hardware like the picture showed.
