This device works pretty good for the most part. The installation was easy, I didn't even have to read the instruction manual. Tap the red wire to the acc, and the black to ground, this was already marked on my after market stereo, so the install was quick and simple. This review is for iOS devices. The screen mirroring works, but not all apps will screen mirror. Apps that I've tried that will not work include YouTube, HBO Go, Netflix, TWC sportsnet, and Showtime. You Tube will not work through the Safari browser, Chrome browser, nor the Dolphin browser. However, you can stream You Tube videos using the Puffin browser (or any other videos) but on the Puffin browser, it doesn't play a set of videos in full screen mode; you have to tap the full screen mode on each videos, so it is a pain in that sense. Also, you cannot view videos through the native video player that is saved on the device. The apps that do work include Waze, ESPN, ABC, NBC, Kodi, Fox Sports Go, and Viki. I mainly bought this so my Waze app will stream to my stereo while I'm driving, and to not miss ESPN (I only listen and not watch '), so in that regard it serves it's purpose. However, I do find that sometimes the sound cut off for a second whether I'm streaming videos or listening to music; I don't know if its interference from the wifi signal when I'm driving around, some sort of notifications from my phone or just a defect from the device. When videos are playing it doesn't bother me, but if I listen to music, it does get annoying. Music seems to stream better using the Bluetooth from the stereo. However I will have to make do for now if I want to play music while using the Waze app mirrored to the stereo screen. I read reviews on Amazon about a similar looking device from the picture where people complain about the picture quality, but I wonder if people realize that in a lot of the apps, the default setting for streaming on cellular network is either low or medium quality. Also, the quality of my stereo is only 480p, so I'm not sure how many aftermarket stereos or stock stereos are above this picture quality.

Installed 2005 Tocoma Pioneer X2 din dvd head unit. Yes and no, first wiring and getting started simple. Mirrors some apps (apple in my case) gps, I radar and some others. will not play video from apple, Netflix, or YouTube. The mirroring of the gps is worth the it. The unit it self runs hot place it were air can move around it. Time will tell if the heat will make it fail will update. For the price and the apps in Apple that do work it is worth it.
