Galaxy S5 Case S View Flip Cover Folio, White

This cover has given new life to my S5. I had a wallet/kickstand case from the time I bought the phone, and it completely hid the phone's beauty as everything, even all the chrome edging, was covered in the rubber mould. That was the price for excellent protection. My phone survived falls on a treadmill and other dangerous situations in that trusty wallet case. Sadly, the rubber mould became brittle, and I went looking for a new case.After two years, I've learnt how to take care of my phone, so I thought I'd take the chance with this item. The case is so beautiful, a lovely pearly pink which shimmers in the light. The material is smooth and very pleasant to touch. There is a much slimmer form factor than experienced with other cases due to this cover replacing the original backing. The S-View also made me discover things about my phone that I'd forgotten or never knew about. I loved being able to see items on the S-View, and use it to interact with calls, alarms, and music to name a few. Once I installed this case, I went on a journey redecorating my phone's app icon layout, putting in widgets, and overall having an incredible time. My phone has the electric blue backing which I never got to see with my old black wallet case, so I really appreciated this gorgeous pink that I could see all the time.When I first received the case, I was afraid to flip the cover all the way back, so I held it like a little book. I got tired of this quickly, and figured I'd just put the phone with the screen facing downwards if the cover refused to close all the way after being flipped open like that. Usually after having the case open in this manner, the cover does not close all the way. This sometimes causes the S-View and unlocking of the phone to rapidly switch between themselves. All I do is leave it on its face (the cover being closed and resting with the phone screen facing a surface) for a while, and the cover stays shut after that.The cover material (pink area) does not attract finger prints or anything of the sort. The S-View window does. I use the microfiber cloth from my spectacles case to clean it up from time to time. This isn't an issue for me. The pink area does feel as though it would pick up scratches easily, and I would assume they would be unsightly and very visible. I've done my best to prevent it from touching anything that my scratch it and I've been successful so far. Hopefully it's hardier than I think it is so that it's able to retain its beauty for a while to come.This cover made me fall in love with my phone all over again, and has given it a new life. I would recommend this cover to anyone who takes care of their phone and isn't prone to dropping it as the cover isn't likely to stay shut in such an event.

First of the shipping was fast and arrived after Christmas. I wasn't so sure to get this case at first, so I decided to give a try after what I saw that this case was capable. The fact that this case replaces the back cover of the phone. I am very clumsy my phone falls out of my hands since I do not have much physical strength, that can be a problem as everything falls apart and you to put everything back. That tends to happen when you this type of case and the other leather cases. One neat thing is that S-view is different that screen of the phone, you can have two different backgrounds from the phone and S-view of the cover. I enjoy the S-view touch screen capability. Note that it does not have selfie mode, but that does not matter as long as you still take photos with the S-view. The only difference when shooting with the S-view cover is that the image are only shot at a 1:1 ratio vs the phone without the cover as 16:9 ratio (tends to be vertical) although that can be change in the settings, I prefer the 1:1 ratio. I had this case for 7 months already so far so good, it seems durable. Although the S-View screen gets dirty may get scratches but as long it protects the phone screen from scratches. I love the sleek design of the phone, makes the phone stand out. Since I am a photography aficionado, the only issue is that the cover may get on way if I decide to use the phone screen instead. in may not be perfect, but other than that I am happy with this product

When you first get it you might lose interest because it doesn't close all the way unless you have the note 4, which apparently has a heavier material. might even hesitate to fold it all the way back. Or you might just buy the magnetic spigen clip for it. Trust me, those actions are normal. All you have to do is use it for a while. I've been using my black one for six months now (probably more) and it closes with no problem, plus it still looks brand new. The stiffness goes away after a while. You just have to be patient and wear it down naturally. Just like shoes. Don't hesitate to fold it all the way back because the more you do it, the more you loosen the material. Don't even bother buying the clip (my opinion, take it or leave it) because after a while you'll just get rid of it after you don't need it anymore. If you're patient, this is the perfect case for you. The only problem is the corners bulging out. If you drop you phone, the back will most likely come off and the battery will come out. Only happened to me about 3 times though. Other than that, its a 5 start case, stylish, protects the screen (i close it and talk on the phone when im outside so i wont get sweat on my screen), and it has the samsung galaxy s5 logo.
