Macton Genuine Leather women's handbag MC-8030

Small, neat handbag, in the style of a Kelly bag. The leather is good quality and the bag is very well made. The lining matches the exterior (I assume the lining is PVC). I ordered the dark green and it's a beautiful colour, set off well by the gold hardware.The bag has two interior pockets, one open and one zipped, a detachable long strap, and is also provided with a colour coordinated silky scarf to tie round the handle. There is also of course the sweet little gold padlock and leather clochette with key.It's a smart, classic bag that could be used with just about any outfit. It was also delivered promptly and very well-packaged. I'm delighted with my purchase

First it needs to be said that I love this bag. The leather is buttery to the touch and the workmanship solid. Strap, interiors and hardware are all pleasing and practical. Secondly a warning; dont trust the colour names! My bag should not really have been described as 'dark green'. It was hard to tell from the photo but I imagined it would probably be closest to a deep emerald or a rich English racing green. It's actually similar to what a certain Paris brand would call 'Canopee' or rather, camouflage (google image it). You also can't make out the jaunty white stitching or aubergine edging to the leather in the photo either. I was a bit nonplussed at first. It arrives bundled up in layers of plastic and it takes ages to liberate and get a good look at. It appeared at this point to be flashes of a muddy brown and green snake to someone who was expecting a rich or vibrant colour. (I've photographed ot next to a rich, dark green to show the contrast). After watching it change colour in varying lights (probably why it's so difficult to photograph) I fell in love with it. The brown was actually a richly tinted purple/aubergine and the green is leaf-like and so goes well with practically any colour. The white detailing attracts the eye and luckily the stitching is minute and neat enough to do so safely. But its not dark green, friends, it's just soft. Sometimes it looks bright, sometimes pale and sometimes shadowy. Friends have termed it 'military' and 'sage' but it's too hard to really pinpoint. Safe to say, I'm keeping it. I actually prefer it to the colour I thought I wanted. The strap is comfortable and adjustable, the grab handle is surprisingly useful and satisfying to grip, the gold plating goes well with the subdued colour. It's as light as a feather and the leather is difficult to resist stroking like a pet. Thumbs up.

Its a good bag, i wish there was more of a selection of types of leathers you can have - this leather tends to lose its shape after a month of good use.

Beautiful bag. Everything as described. I placed an order on Saturday, it arrived on Tuesday. I am very satisfied with my purchase. Bag came with a colorful scarf to tie around the handle, which is a very nice bonus.

As usual, a very well made bag from MActon . The only thing that i don't like it it's the gold hardware (very bright)
