Break-Free CLP - Seems to be a good CLP and the aerosol helps distribute it into all the nooks and crannies...
Over the years I have tried a few different cleaner and lubricating products, and just found out about Break-Free CLP a couple years ago. The first thing that impressed me was that it was really nice to have Cleaner-Lunbricating-Protectant components available in one product.I grew up as a pistol and shotgun guy and just recently started getting into rifle competition and plinking. Pistols and shotguns are simple to breakdown and clean, but some rifles are a little more complex. For example, the recessed areas of the AR configuration are a challenge to clean, and the small pieces of its bolt carrier group need to be cleaned regularly too. What is nice about Break-Free's aerosol product's delivery it how easy it makes it getting the cleaner to where it is needed. Once the cleaner gets to where it is needed, I can use long handled brushes to scrub and clean... but it was tougher getting cleaner into those area before using this aerosol delivery.Cleaning the BCG is simple with this product; break down the bolt carrier, put the parts in a bowl, douse them with this CLP's spray, and let them sit. After just a few minutes the grime has mostly melted away and all I need to do is give them a good scrub with light brushes and then wipe them down with a cloth. Will still test and try other products, but this has been our mainstay for the past two years. It is hard to get around here as it sells out of stores about as fast as it hits the shelf... definitely recommended. One can lasts me about eight cleaning sessions of three to four firearms at a time.

Perfect CLP for all Firearms!!
Awesome firearm juice!! I have reviewed hours of CLP for my guns.. they are not cheap so I don’t put cheap on it or in it!! The all around ability of this Break Free is almost every category on a few vids I have watched.. so you won’t waste your money if you give this a try!!I actually spray some into a couple of my needle applicators for the easiest way to control the spray!!

Good cleaner, but NOT a good lubricant
CLP is versatile - I use it to clean pretty much any metal surface in my workshop, from vices and tools to firearms. I find it's especially good for removing rust and corrosion from small areas, because it foams up and coats every little nook and cranny. I can follow up with a toothbrush and bam, good as new. It leaves a slightly slick film behind that's done a good job of preventing any further rust from appearing. However, it is not at all a good lubricant for firearms or anything that moves a lot or gets hot. The CLP film evaporates pretty much immediately once it gets hot. Fire a few magazines and you'll find that the CLP literally cooks off, giving off smoke and leaving the internals dry. Even if your firearm or other metal surface doesn't get that hot, the oily nature of CLP means that it doesn't "stick" to the metal and doesn't stay in place all that well. You'd have to continuously reapply it if you wanted continuous lubrication on a high-wear part. The "C" and the "P" are fine, but for many lubrication needs (especially firearms), get something that's better suited to the task, like a medium-weight grease.

There is no better CLP than Break Free - IYKYK
I've used a lot of lubes & gun cleaners around the house as a "squeak killer" for door hinges, garage doors, etc., and there really is NOTHING that lubes better than Break Free CLP. It stays a long time, it smells good as an aftershave and it coats, eliminates squeaks in hinges, lubes my guns and just works better than anything else for the price.
