Flawless: Pretty Little Liars #2

A is not playing around anymore
Things escalate quickly in this book, and I love it. A lets some secrets slip, so this book is filled with teenage turmoil and all that good stuff. The Jenna Thing is explained in this book as well. The characters shifted a bit in my opinion. I started to feel for Hanna in this book. The reasons behind her vanity are explained and it makes her a little easier to relate to I think. Emily is very fickle in this book. She will do just about anything for some praise and has no backbone. Spencer and Aria are like little high school stalkers. Seriously. They go pretty nuts over guys and it's just too implausible. I wasn't crazy about the ending, although it was a nice shocking moment. And they got rid of a good character, too, but what can you do? I feel that the ages in this book aren't quite right. They seem too young for a lot of this stuff to happen. It makes sense that the TV show changed their ages when Ali went missing from 13 to 15 due to the content, because it's just too unbelievable.

Good story, terrible book!
Loved the story, I have watched this entire series and am thoroughly enjoying reading the books now that I have the time to do so. My only issue is that I purchased this book "used - like new" expecting to get a great copy for cheap (I think I only paid $8 for this book). However, the book came in with VISIBLE DENTS IN THE COVER AND FIRST SEVERAL PAGES!!! Seriously, it looks like someone used the book to prop up a wobbly table or something. The rest of the book is in pretty good condition, but I would like to warn those who are like me and prefer for their books to be in excellent condition. Like new apparently doesn't hold the same meaning for some as it does for others. Just spring for the extra few bucks and buy brand new if you can...

Pretty Flawless indeed!
This started out a little slow for me but it picked up quickly and I think it was a perfect sequel, giving readers more insight on the mysterious events and people we were introduced to in the first book, while still keeping everything interesting and suspenseful. We are starting to see more into the minds of each girl as "A" continues to harass and taunt them with knowledge of their secrets, old and new. More and more, "A" is becoming their lives as they make excuses for why they must keep their secrets to themselves instead of seek help. It's getting dark, folks! And I love it. The story and the characters manage to be so relatable despite the spooky undertones that I'm sure most girls didn't grow up with.Love these characters, Hanna and Aria especially. Overall, a very satisfying book that of course left you wanting for more. Onto #3!

Intense!
Totally worth the almost 9 bucks that I spent on this book! I'm usually a bargain shopper when it comes to books, especially series- I'll only buy while they are on sale as a series set (usually) - but after breaking down and watching a couple PLL episodes on Netflix AND THEN finding out there's a book series to match them, I was sold. The ending of this book in the series in particular totally threw me for a loop. I actually went back a couple chapters and read it again because it was such a thriller, the second time just as good as the first! This is the YA reader coming out in me. I used to be an avid YA reader but as I got older the books got less mature for me and I wasn't as interested. These girls aren't about sex, drugs, and all that madness and Shepards writing is definitely PG rated but they are still great books- which makes for a great author (in my eyes).

Pure Imagination Reviews
Flawless picks up right where Pretty Little Liars left us. It doesn't miss a beat getting back into the suspense and mystery. In this book Hanna, Emily, Spencer, and Aria are a bit humbled. They know someone knows all their deepest darkest secrets and they are trying to be better people because of it. That doesn't always work..I'm really enjoying this series! Sara Shepard has created some very flawed and realistic characters. Characters that you still want to root for even though they have made some horrible decisions. I really want all of them to defeat 'A'. But they definitely have some issues of their own to overcome first.Overall, I think this is a awesome series. It's not often that I finish a book and want to start reading the next right away. I wanted to with this book. I didn't do it, but I wanted to! Definitely recommend!

I like the book a lot
I decided to read the book after I got into the show. WOW there are a LOT of differences. When they say the show is "loosely" based on the books they mean hanging by a thread. I like the book a lot, but sometimes it gets repetitive and there aren't too many clues as to who A actually is.

Relaxing and Enjoyable Read ..
If one is looking for a light read to enjoy and unwind from all the hassle of work and pressure in the office, this would be the series to go for. It is very relaxing, it takes your mind of the things that bother you. It is enjoyable. Lots of suspense, which make you attached to the story, not wanting to stop.

Book has been changed
Book published in 2007 references a song released in 2019. Creepy, weird, and throws the vibe of the book completely off.

Whether a fan of the show or not you can enjoy these books in their own right- and the best ...
I can see why these books got adapted into a major hit show- they are so gripping, thrilling and thoroughly entertaining. Whether a fan of the show or not you can enjoy these books in their own right- and the best thing- the show's based on the books but they are so different that none of them spoil the other. Get these books- you won't regret it!
