What a disappointment.
Well they arrived on time and were well packaged, plus there were 13 of them in the bag instead of 10. Now that the good news is out of the way. They were not dry but moist and a bit slick as if they were stored by someone that did not know what they were doing. So it could be a first time start up or small holding. There were no visible crowns on the goods. I still planted them, and they did just as expected they rotted in the pots. So I cannot in good conscience give this seller a gold star or a recommendation, so buyer beware of this pot luck method. I need a crop for strawberry wine and thought that bare root would give me a crop this year, but not to be.My seedlings (another vendor) are doing well from two other varieties, but they will be a low crop this year, as I am looking for them to provide a runners to grow the plant base with for next year's crop.

ELSANTA HAPPY AND GROWING WELL.😊
Many of my Elsanta strawberry plants even though well tended over the years needed clearing to make way for younger fresher stock. My first choice for desserts and jam making is Elsanta, oddly my local garden nursery hadn't any in stock.Elsanta has the perfect combination of acidity and sweetness with a subtle hint of perfume to bring a reminder of summer all through winter.Lovely to have strawberry flan as a dessert in the winter to bring back memories of sunny days. Many thanks to the packers for taking care with my beautiful Elsanta.More than a little in love with these plants.

Bad packaging, broken plants, all dead in a week
Plants arrived loose in a plastic envelope. One was already broken. After planting, the remaining shoots were initially healthy but after a few days the leaves went grey and crinkly and the stems went brown and mouldy. All dead within a week.

Don't judge a book by its cover
As another reviewer suggested I soaked these for 24 hrs in a cup on the windowsill. I did not do this right away either, I think they are fine if you leave them a couple of days. All plants have survived and are flowering. my soil is a little sandy which they seemed to like, really impressed.

Great addition to any small garden.
Arrived in good time. Got an extra plant . They were looking alive within 2-3 days showing green leaves. Started flowering in a few weeks. All they need is water, good drainage and a little manure or fertiliser. I gave both. Not really heavy croppers but are good size and really sweet. Will see how they get on next year.Very good purchase and highly recommended.

Pretty Rubbish Plants
I bought these as fresh, well developed runners. Followed usual procedure: soaked then potted up in good all purpose and left them to overwinter in the greenhouse, watering sparingly. January and plants looking pretty dead but lets see what spring brings. So spring arrives and I expect to start seeing some growth from the base.............nothing!!!! dead as a dodo, all 10 plants, now I will have to buy more fully developed plants. Won't be using GardenersDream Store again

Great plants
All 20 roots turned up. I'd say 3-4 looked weaker than others but they all looked alive. Potted up and we'll see what happens!Would happily recommend.Update, May 2021: all still alive and starting to flower.Update, Sept 2021: high yield, fairly short growing season. Look healthy and should do well next year too.

these arrived in good time, took quickly when planted. No fruit yet, but very green healthy leaves and the start of flowers so all the sings are good.
