They keyboard was received in perfect working condition. The job to replace it was less than desirable. On my (and many) HP laptop, the keyboard is held to the palmrest by plastic rivets instead of screws. You literally have to break a whole bunch of plastic rivets to insecure the keyboard from the palmist and support back bracket. When I put the new keyboard in, since the rivets are now broken, the keyboard feels 'spongy' when used and some parts of the keyboard is not fully raised into position in the top cover palmist housing. All in all, this was $21 well spent vs up to $200 for a complete palmist assembly with keyboard. Knowing what I know now, I would've bought a complete assembly for a perfect finish, but I can live with this. it's a backup/travel computer now so no biggie. Beats having a broken keyboard for sure.
